Someone else having fullscreen problems on i3?

I only get half of the screen, doesn't seem to switch to a fullscreen mode, and if forced to go fullscreen it just glitches out.

Does someone know when the Linux version will release?. The Steam page lists only Mac and Win so far.

Quoting: chris.echozThis is gonna be great! Been checking github for updates on this every day for the past few weeks. Can't wait to get home and try it.
Looks pretty good, but it's kinda unstable (surprise, surprise!). It crashed for me three times in one Wingman. So testing it out seems possible, but using it as 'main' UI is only if you are brave (or foolish?) enough.

Besides that it still has loads of little edges and corners which are not quite there yet. Some scaling, some UI behaviour wise and some straight up ctd. (which of course is reasonable for a beta)

A new Surviving Mars update is out, with a little tribute to the late Stephen Hawking & source code access

Technically it's not the source code of the entire game, just the Lua parts (as described in the README). Still its kinda cheating a good documentation, but better then nothing I guess.

Quoting: IdleGandalfSo, why do we need such a client again? (cloud saves are possible with steam as well, if that's the selling point for this client)
It's not for us, it's for them.
Yea that much is obvious. Just wondered why the article is so emphasized about the client's features, I don't see its advantage. The only possible usage scenario may be the situation where you don't have any other installed (e.g. steam) and only want to play paradox games. Seems rather far fetched.
You can use it but you don't must, like Oeigiun or Uplay. So where is your problem?
I have no problem with the client (at least nothing that has to be discussed here), just the way it *was* presented. Maybe you should read more carefully and all the comments before you make such statements.

Well, what else am I supposed to emphasize in an article about a new client, if not it's features? Weird comment.
Sure, that's only reasonable. Shouldn't be a comparison with other clients be a part of this as well? A simple 'nothing special' (in better wording ofc) would round this up for me :), otherwise this seems like prising water as wine (at least for me).

Nvm, saw the edit.

Cossacks 3 has been patched and it should now work a lot better on Linux

Quoting: IdleGandalfI got no sound ingame as well. The discussion thread on steam indicates that this is more likely to happen on Arch, don't know what's causing it tho.
I'm on Arch and the sound works fine when using the steam-runtime, e.g. set the launch options [External Link] to: ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/run.sh %command%
That fixed it indeed. It's strange since I thought I tested it with runtime enabled. Thanks anyways. So I guess there is a newer version of a system lib at fault? Since I checked the cossacks executable with ldd and it looked fine.

Alsa audio no doubt. Most ports are designed with Pulse in mind, even Ferral said this was ( they patched it ) was the reason audio didn't work on their Tomb raider port, everyone who mentioned it was on Manjaro,Arch or Gentoo using Alsa. Might not be though.
Hm, I'm running Pulseaudio, even with the alsa -> pulseaudio mapping. Haven't had any problems in other games so far, don't know what Cossacks makes different in audio output here.
