This is going to be really troublesome.
As opposed as I am to using AI to replace artists (especially for big companies who can definitely afford hiring them), how do they check ?
Tomorrow, if I publish a game on Steam, what prevents them from banning me ? Do I have to show them the PSDs of the bitmap assets ? Do I have to record myself drawing it ?
Also, seing the size of the Steam library, how will they check all the games that come out ? Do they manually play all of them, looking at ALL the assets ? Will they require a special build just for them, showing all the non-encrypted assets ?
Or, as I suspect, will they use bots (oh, the irony) or other unreliable programs such as the ones that check if a text was written by Chat-GPT.
I see the (good) intention behind this, but I see no positive outcome for them or the devs.

I had it on the Amiga.
At the time, I didn't have many games and coming back from my friend's place (who owned a NES and Super Mario 3) was somewhat a frustrating experience. Until Zool came out ! :woot:
A great game I have very fond memories of !

It was the feature the community has been unknowingly waiting for :
- Half the userbase wanted a hardcore experience, bashed the dev for making content "too easy".
- The other half of the userbase just wanted to have fun.
Now hopefully this feature will make everyone happy. After all, games in the same genre such as Ark Survival Evolved, Conan Exiles already had this from the very beginning.

Nothing against the performance just yet, but the client seems to take a catastrophic amount of RAM : 1 freaking GB, almost as heavy as the entire OS surrounding it... wtf ?

Do other people experienced a BUNCH of bugs with this latest release ? Icons not appearing anymore, the app crashing after editing a game's settings for the second time, that sort of thing :(

The idea of immutable distros is good (though I wonder if the end-user is really concerned), but Snap is a major no-no.
I know this is a strongly divisive topic, and people love to hate Snap... but for a good reason : I've been hating it ever since some handy Firefox extensions stopped working (VideoDownloadHelper), or it somehow couldn't open HTML files located in /usr/local (quite a bummer to install Chromium just for reading offline documentations I mean... why ?!)
So long live apt, Deb packages, and PPAs ;D (Oh, and AppImages).

As a non-american, just asking : can Nintendo be sued for this ? Is there such a thing in US law as a "counter-DMCA" or "abusive use of copyright laws" ?
This Unity to Godot importer has me a little excited

Download quickly, before a DMCA comes knocking at their door. That's some quality work there.
As for made-with-Godot games, I have two in my Steam library, and both are Linux native !
- Precipice [External Link], a fun little game about the cold war
- Don't shit on my XXXXing roof [External Link] : a Vampire Survivors clone (still in early access).
