I'm looking at Syber brand of Steam boxes instead

My reason is that upgradability is one of their big features -- you can upgrade the video card and/or RAM later, if needed for newer games that you really want to play on it!

Armikrog, The Clay Animation Point & Click Puzzle Game Is Now Out, A Bit Of A Buggy Mess

To no ones surprise, I am greatly looking forward to Armikrog, but sounds like maybe I should wait a bit longer for them to fix bugs.

On Pre-Orders And Other Nasty Buying Habits

Quoting: samsaiBuying the game a little bit early shouldn't matter either, since the developers should have plenty of money for all the final touches that will happen during the last couple of weeks before launch.
This statement should really be limited to big-budget games with publishers, because it's way less likely to be true for small Indie game teams. Some have sadly abused Early Access, but others have used it to great effect, allowing the team to survive while doing months of bug squashing.

For example, Worlds of Magic went from being a crash-fest on Linux to now being one of my favorite games, with a team that was serious about fixing most of the reported bugs before switching to official release. If there had been no eager Linux testers during kickstarter backer beta or Early Access, WoM would have released stable on windows and crashy on Linux, and Linux gamers would probably be warning fellow gamers to avoid the buggy piece of junk instead of being able to recommend it.

Pillars of Eternity (base game) - really like it, will get the expansion

Sam & Max from GoG - just started, but looks like it could deserve the great reputation it has. It's so nice that GoG got over their hangups and started being practical about linux support!

HMD = Head Mounted Display. I recall Cheeseness doing a nice article on Oculus, before they went to the dark side.

I'm not done with the original game yet either, but it makes me happy to know there's an expansion coming up for when I am done!

Thoughts On The Final Steam Controller

Quoting: scaineAs for the controller, I'm nearly sold, but games like Hero Siege really require twin sticks and I worry that the single-stick design will trip up a lot of the experience. I wonder if anyone has tried Geometry Wars (or Hero Siege itself) with this design?
I've never tried to play a hack'n'slash with a controller. How do you make use of twin sticks on Hero Siege?
