Explore a nightmarish world of twisted religion in Blasphemous - now available for Linux

Guys...

Quoting: The Game Kitchen on KickstarterEach PC store we release in requires it's own binaries, and each set of binaries requires it's own QA process of approval. Being a small team, we are tightly limited by the capacity of our QA team, which already needs to approve each platform one by one. Currently, we are supporting nine platforms, and that is now topping our capacity.

To support our commitment to continue adding content to the game via Free DLC, we cannot put more resources on the approval and QA process due to additional platforms. Since, we had to make the difficult choice of keeping the number of supported platforms as it is right now, and offer GoG Linux & Mac users to migrate to any of the other supported platforms.

I hope they'll release the Linux/macOS ports on GOG too... I'm already disappointed that Blasphemous won't be there.

Quoting: MilaniumWould be awesome if it had multiplayer.

Yeah...
Speaking about the old "trilogy", Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom did have a multiplayer mode, thought I didn't play it at that time but now I have the GOG version.
Is there users that tried it on Linux now and can say if it works?

Quoting: benjamimgoisLooks like it's compatible, but it also looks like you're basically compiling a new kernel whenever a new release comes out. Since I know next-to-nothing about kernels, I think I'll stick to pre-packaged .deb files from either mainline or Liquonix, unless there are other options out there.

Also, doesn't compiling a kernel take hours?? Maybe I'm missing something that install script just updates your apt cache, but that's not how it's presented, and they go on to talk about having to manage "custom compiled kernels". I'd prefer something that merges into the Mint kernel management tool, like mainline does.

I've never used it on Ubuntu or mint. I agree that have to manualy compile a kernel every week is a no go for me. On Manjaro i just use the Chaotic-AUR, they basically compile the source code of every app hourly and just send me the updated package on pamac.

I didn't know that! You have to have a real trust about it. I don't mind compile my own AUR packages, but it can be useful for some.

Quoting: CyrilAlso I'll buy it on GOG, but I hope the sale will be there too.

As far as I understand, on GOG you are limited to 2-Player online coop, whereas Steam has 4-Player online coop through Steam Remote Play. You might want to take that into consideration...

I'll play mostly, if not exclusively, single-player so it's not an issue for me.

Also the Linux/macOS versions are now available on GOG, but unfortunately no sale...
