Am of two minds on this on one hand its amazing how much progress wine is making and how much work the mesa team are putting in to make amd/intel graphics viable as a gaming option on linux. However I am also a little worried that Valve and other big developers thinking well we dont need to do a native linux port we can do a wine wrapper or failing that we can just leave it windows only and the linux community will figure out the dependancies to get to to work under wine.

Yeah check his twitter out now he has his pateron goal he has literally said suggest a game to him and if the publisher is down he will port it or at least help for free as he will draw his wages from pateron.

I own most of the classics on steam from windows gaming days but you can get rid of the pixels by selecting smooth in the options menu fyi. I personally love this collection yes i know you can play for free on an emulator but its not a legally grey area am affraid it is just straight up illegal. I am also aware that Sega are hardly likely to come after you, if you are playing sonic on your linux box via fusion. But I like knowing i own the games, so if i cant play them via steam on linux am good to go to play the roms legally on linux that and the whole collection cost me 3.99 on a flash bundle on bundle stars before it changed its name.

Quoting: GuestI really hope they will finally release a 64 bit Steam client including Wayland support.
What do we gain from that?
Proper modern support?
Erm really because Wayland is still really shit for gaming dont try to pretend its not, Nvidia still havent embraced wayland and show signs of doing so.
