Performance on mobile is fine on my Pixel 2, but it takes about 90 seconds to actually start, which is pretty frustrating.
As for the game itself, it's still a lot of fun, particularly with the last round of changes that added blockades and so on. I only tend to play casual though. It's a little less brutal and more fun.

Quoting: KlaasWell then. Indeed I was. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleanroom_software_engineering [External Link]Quoting: scaine(…) wikipedia describes clean room engineering to be related to a method of software development that focuses on bug reduction.I think you're looking at the wrong Wikipedia article. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clean_room_design [External Link]

This is causing so much excellent confusion! :D
Honestly, not sure what Kokoko is getting at either! Article and follow up comments were pretty clear to me. Perhaps it's because of the reference to "clean room" which isn't strictly applicable here - wikipedia describes clean room engineering to be related to a method of software development that focuses on bug reduction.

Quoting: scaineEvery time I see the Warzone name, I think of Battlezone [External Link]and pine for an open source remake of that classic. I might even be tempted to pick it up on sale, as apparently it has a platinum rating on Steam Play. Maybe. We'll see.Eh... sorry for continually harping on about Battlezone, but this article really put me in a mind to play it, but I wasn't about to spend £15 on it from Steam. By some kind of incredible luck though, it's only just over £3 on Humble right now!! So, if you're as desperate to play it as I am... here you go [External Link]!
It's from 1998 though, a year before Warzone 2100 came out. There must have been something in the water back then to produce such classics in such a tight grouping (14 months in total)!

Quoting: StraToNAFAIC, reduz stated that Godot Engine was named after Waiting for Godot piece by Samuel Beckett. Since Beckett originally wrote the play in French (despite him being Irish), Godot is supposed to be pronounced "Goh-doh", so does "Godot Engine".But for the avoidance of doubt, it's definitely "goh-doh". Thanks for clarifying! :D
HOWEVER, reduz himself pronounces it "Goh-dot", being a native Spanish-speaker. Thus, it is commonly admitted in the community that everyone chooses his preferred pronunciation, this is no big deal.

Bit of a random though this, but I always assumed that since the only "godot" I'm aware of before hearing about this game engine was "Waiting for Godot", that the last 't' is silent (the book's author was Irish, but wrote the book in French).
Does everyone agree or is this another one of those cases like when people mispronounce Ubuntu as "Oo-bun-too" instead of "oo-boon-too"??
Back on topic - love these updates. Godot is really shaping up to be THE game engine of the modern age. I just became a patreon this month, as it would be amazing to see them cross the goal line on their next hire.

This is a great game, lots of fun. Something about the name really lets it down, but I can't put my finger on it. I just don't like it. Kind of feel that it should be called "Ninja Death Robot goes Mining" or something like that.

Given all the issues with Little Racers Street, I've been missing a good top down Micro Machines-style racer. This looks superb. So smooth. Just a bit gutted it's not unlocking for another 6 months!!
