I poured a few hours into a fairly early alpha of this, on Itch. It's a fabulously satisfying shooter, which was only let down by a slightly broken story (at the time). Now that they consider it "finished", I'm looking forward to giving this another shot.
I really must write a proper review for it too - as we all know, reviews are incredibly important to the smaller indies to increase their presence on Steam's main pages and discover-ability.

What's the weird bar in the middle of the screen? I couldn't focus on the dude running - too busy wondering what it did, how it was going to change, why it was there...? :)
Probably just me!
Looks interesting though. Vaguely Hyperlight Drifter-y, vaguely Crosscode-y, but those are fine pedigrees to remind you of!

Only three games over the past seven days:
1. UnderMine
2. Dicey Dungeons
3. 7 Days to Die
UnderMine is fantastic - incredibly addictive. Dicey Dungeons is amazing too, but I'm finding some of the challenge levels to be a bit frustrating. And of course, 7D2D is an old favourite and Sin is playing on stream at the moment. Love it.

Review bombs have happened for lesser transgressions. But I don't support that, much less advocate for it. It's a problem Valve need to deal with.
Again, this isn't "censorship". This is simple empathy. An insulting, childish piece of shit has been removed from a game after a perfectly understandable outcry surfaced. Censorship? Jeez. Attacking trans people isn't a political statement anyone should defend under the banner of "censorship".

Quoting: SolitaryBoth ways?? Their response isn't about respect at that point. That's consequences for a lack of respect for basic human rights. If I'm trans and you say I'm scum for being trans, you don't get to say "that trans scum doesn't respect me". Well, you can, but it won't carry any weight.Quoting: scaineThere's a big difference between censorship and basic respect for fellow human beings. This issue is about the latter.Respect goes both ways. Bullying others, because they have different opinions is also problem. Those negative reviews are because of the censorship. Is that really solution you advocate?

Really looking forward to Hades, simply because Supergiant games are awesome. I didn't quite love Pyre as much as the others, but I'm hopeful Hades is a return to form (and many people loved Pyre as much as I loved Transistor. Their pedigree is immense.
As for a perceived lack of ethics for going Epic first for a year before EA on Steam - well, there's EA done badly, and there's EA done well. I have complete confidence that this will be the latter and will actually benefit from having had a year on Epic first.
I hate Epic, but I guess sometimes their money will work in our favour. I think this is one of those times.
[Edit: oops, got my formers and latters mixed up!!]

If you don't care about this, fine. No need to comment. Move on. Enjoy the game. Honestly, I'd like you to care somewhat, but there it is. You don't, and I only have so much energy to engage.
On the flip side, if you feel outraged about this - also fine. But please go research the remarks Terminx made. In my opinion, they're not great remarks, but they're also not quite "burn at the stake" remarks either. Trans people might feel otherwise, because those remarks are yet another example of a (reasonably) public figure making public remarks which demean their very existence. But it's one persons uninformed, poorly worded view on discord - a forum which itself encourages quick fire, throw away views, due to the fact that it's instant-messaging. Maybe there's room for this guy to develop a little bit of empathy. Maybe.
Sadly, I feel that 3D Realms' apology is meaningless. It reads as simple damage limitation around an ignorant dev incapable of acting like an adult on their own discord. Terminx hasn't apologised to my knowledge, so buying this game now, armed with the knowledge that one of the contributors made transphobic remarks? You make your own statement.
But make it your own. Don't just buy into the headlines. As a side note, as someone who has seen this behaviour many times on Twitter, IRC and various forums, I'll be clear - anyone who calls this a lame "SJW" issue instantly pigeon-holes themselves, in my mind, as someone with such a juvenile worldview, such people aren't even worth debating with. I love a debate, me. But sometimes it's not a debate at all.

Quoting: DaiKaiser93Crap, we can't have nothing nice because of a couple of oversensitive twitter fks. As someone who bought it as soon as the EA released on GOG this breaks my heart.First of all, no-one is taking the game off the market as a result of a single dev's transphobic remarks. Jesus. Where you getting that line from? Are you enjoying the game less now, or something? Do you regret your purchase in light of the fact that one of the dev's attack trans people? Doesn't sound like it.

Maybe one day they'll cross that threshold and give us the game natively. Fingers crossed.

Quoting: ShmerlThey should just release it for Linux already. They should at least talk to Valve about an official whitelist. Until the vulkan backend came out, this was a platinum title. Vulkan has really hurt its performance on Linux, so it's nice to see workarounds like this.

Quoting: bird_or_cageI will not buy this game, because by doing so I would (unfortunately) support the publisher 505 Games, who decided to cancel Linux and Mac release of Bloodstained and denied kickstarter backers the refund.Ha, just noticed that today when I went to look into buying this - I got the "Excluded publisher based on your preferences" message from Steam. Goddam. I didn't even lose anything in that Kickstarter, I just blacklisted the publisher based on principle.
