SSSD has supported GPO control for a while. https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/7/html/windows_integration_guide/sssd-gpo [External Link]

That being said, yeah, SSSD is *fun* to work with. :woot:

Not to mention that AD integration can be achieved on any distribution with realmd and sssd. It all depends on what level of abstraction you'd like.

At work I deploy (the linux side of) our dual boot Windows 10/Ubuntu workstations that are AD domain-joined with realmd during installation (computer name has to be different for the "two" computer objects). Our Red Hat workstations simply use AD for kerberos authentication and are not joined to the domain.

Get three months FREE of Stadia Pro thanks to Lenovo

Thanks for saving me $30 I would've spent anyways! I've been trying to start Resident Evil 7 but have been too much of a chicken shit. I'm at the first? point you need to find a specific key. I know exactly where the key is...and so does something else.

That being said I've pre-ordered Village to get my fourth Stadia controller (sold my original founder edition as I disliked the colors) because I hate myself, apparently.

Top played Stadia games for me:
  • Red Dead Redemption II
  • Far Cry 5 (didn't work on AMD/MESA for the longest time)
  • Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
  • Doom Eternal
  • Madden 2021
  • Metro Exodus (native cannot come soon enough)
  • Assassin's Creed Origins

What have you been playing recently, come tell your thoughts

Valheim - all bosses that exist at this time defeated. Sitting at ~260 hours with a large build in progress. I'm dying for more content for this game.

----

Valheim made me long for Fable nostalgia so this past week I've completed an all-evil re-playthrough of Fable: Anniversary as well as started a similar playthrough of Fable III. It's really hard for me to be bad in video games.

Keeping tabs on Xenia to allow me to play Fable II (xbox360) on PC eventually.

(Fable Anniversary used to not work in Proton and Fable III requires an games for windows live bypasses but works great)

I really do hope Fable 4 works in Proton/Wine.

Just for clarification Apple designed their own GPU rather than using an off the shelf Mali design.

Metro Exodus arrives for Linux on April 14

I've already played through a decent chunk of this game on Stadia but I'll gladly replay the game with ray tracing. Looks like Metro Exodus will be my first Linux-native ray traced game.

Hardly. I just find myself marveling at how far we've come. It's amazing what open source graphics drivers (and the accompanying stack!) can deliver in terms of modern gaming (Freesync, high refresh rate, and high resolution). I can't wait to try my first ray traced game.

Upgraded to the beta of Fedora 34 and I'm in love.

Mesa 21.0 + Kernel 5.12rc4 (from rawhide nodebug) + GNOME 40 makes my entire system finally feel "Next gen."

OpenGL still plays demonstrably better than vulkan for me and I've yet to experience a hard crash when using OpenGL.

I attempted to break in my new GPU by trying vulkan again and it crashed within 5 minutes so back to OpenGL is was.
