1000%. I'd pre order this TODAY if they said something along the lines of "v2 motherboards with AMD ryzen 5000 series CPUs will be available in Q3 2021. These parts are guaranteed to fit in the v1 chassis."

Sure, I walked into that one. However, my justifications for my use of Stadia are well documented in my comment history. I do still prefer gaming locally when I can. Metro Exodus is night and day native locally but it sure took its sweet time to release.

To you maybe not, but they're still two major games in a genre Stadia is really lacking in (competitive multiplayer). (And two more games to the list of games google has influenced/help port to Linux. How many does Valve have now? Still waiting on that SteamOS port of TW3 from when I was still in high school)

I'd do things for a v2 with AMD-based component choices.

I like how there's one or two comments on a "normal" stadia article on here and yet as soon as a speculative piece is put out all of these commenters come out of the woodwork to prove their confirmation bias.

:whistle::whistle::whistle:

Hell, Ubisoft's Rainbox Six Siege and For Honor were recently confirmed. Those are two huge pickups for the platform.

System76 releases the open source Launch Configurable Keyboard

Yeah I'd like this keyboard on principal but Logitech has got me firmly in their "ecosystem." I've got the ergonomic keyboard (K860) and the G Pro Wireless mouse. I got my My girlfriend the MX Keys and I'm definitely jealous of the build quality/back-lighting of that model compared to my more-expensive one but am not willing to go back to the painful "standard" keyboard layout.

If there was an ergonomic model however System76...

Resident Evil Village gets better on Linux with the latest Proton Experimental

Quoting: LordDaveTheKindI would definitely buy and play it, if I wasn't kind of sensitive to horror and gore
Horror isn't my thing either. How I ever completed Amnesia the dark descent in High school I'll never understand. Much like Amnesia Rebirth isn't as scary as TDD, REVIII is not as scary as REVII. I could barely stomach 30 minutes in REVII and yet I've played hours of REVIII on Stadia. It is a really easy horror game with some jump scares thrown in to keep you on your toes.

If Google wasn't giving away a free Stadia Premiere edition with REVIII I likely would've ordered it on Steam. Hopefully an FOV slider gets added to all platforms soon.

Awesome fast-paced FPS DUSK gets a helpful update with more to come like Steam Workshop

The only "difference" I've found with Dusk's Windows and Linux version (before this update) is the multiplayer consistency. Often times on Linux I'd be stuck at "connecting" to the new match causing me to have to quit/reconnect, now to an in-progress match.

On windows you're automatically connected to the next match as expected.

Humble Choice for May is up now with Metro Exodus, Hellpoint, Fury Unleashed + more

A friend gifted me Metro Exodus from his bundle. I can confirm that it's possible to use Google Takeout to transfer the Stadia save game file and use it with the Steam version. This is a one-way path however.

I'm glad I don't have to redo the time I put into the "free" copy I got on Stadia.

Edit: I can't seem to get the GNOME top bar to vanish, preventing me from properly playing this game. Enabling the "hide top bar" extension causes metro exodus to launch 1/2 way up my monitor.

Edit2: I can resolve this if I disable my second monitor before launching the game. Re-plugging in the second after the game launches does work as expected.
