Steam gets overhauled with new overlay, Steam Deck big stable update

Steam launches but the interface just shows a large black square in the middle of my screen for a second, disappears for a few, and then does that again. Repeatedly. I can launch recent games from the tray icon but that's it.

I loved SimTower, and Project Highrise is a great take on the tower simulation (without the elevator issues from SimTower, thank you). I am curious how this compares.

P.S. To those interested - Project Highrise has a native build and it worked well for me a few years go

Demo crashes on launch for me, probably a GameMaker problem. I did not see anything interesting in terminal output when I tried it through there.

Unfortunately, this is not surprising. Especially considering the demo was broken on Linux when I tried it in June-2020 [External Link].

Also seems like a strange engine choice for a pixel graphics point and click, but what do I know.

It would be great if they are around long enough to support future motherboard/CPU upgrade swaps. If the laptop shell is sufficient and durable, that could offer some great long-term upgrade options.
