Quoting: pbLol, and what were they counting on? That Valve would just send them the payout without a second thought? I doubt the payments are automatic and if they were, then I'm pretty sure they no longer are, at least for the small devs/games.Payouts to developers are made once a month and only if it's over $100. So yeah, Valve probably going to refund some people.

Quoting: redneckdrowAh, ok, was just wondering. I'm on my 6th playthrough and in my experience there have not been many notable bugs lately. Maybe you just hit the bad lottery of choices/paths where the bugs still persist.Quoting: rustybroomhandleAre you maybe on the GoG version and have not updated it in forever?Nope, started playing it on Steam in January.

Quoting: SalvatosFrustrating UI, enough bugs that it should still be considered early access, but very pretty and immersive and I’m impressed by how much your character’s race, class and origin influence your dialogue options and how many ways there are to approach everything. Are you maybe on the GoG version and have not updated it in forever?
I’m still in Act One, but so far I’d say it will be worth its price when fully baked; I’m just not as amazed as all the hype suggests, and it feels more like "D:OS in Faerûn" than "Baldur’s Gate 3". A bit weirded out that every companion wants to get in the MC’s pants almost immediately as well. I’ve seen sex games where the relationships felt more mature and natural.
Orange Pi Neo gaming handheld to come with Manjaro Linux

I am a Manjaro user since before they had that "we're doing weird stuff now and now everyone hates us" phase and beyond. It's a fine distro, no matter what the haters say. Howeverrrr, a bit of a weird choice for a device like this. The A/B boot partition thing SteamOS uses is still the most perfect way to maintain a stable system.

I'm in! Death Stranding was one of my favourite gaming experiences in the last few years. I have played through it 3 times, once without any vehicles, just walking.

Quoting: GuestI have used linux since the 90s, you most likely haven't.The joke is on you then. I taught Linux at a college in 1999 after having used it for some years. I worked at an ISP before that that had many servers using Linux, BSD, Irix. Before that, my first introduction to Linux was in 1994 because it was used on one of the terminals I used to dial into for email, irc, usenet etc. This was not the norm. Many systems at the time still used operating systems like Vax. Sadly I could not install Linux on my Amiga then, but the GNU tools were ported, so I got familiar that way before my first PC a year or two later.

Quoting: ElectricPrismAnd as for his 'I'm a great Linux Warrior of many years and da open source' claimsHe claims he has used Linux longer than me without knowing how long I have used Linux. If that's not a sign of talking out of his butt, I don't know what is.

Quoting: GuestImmutable system partitions do not take away any freedom from the user. They can unlock the immutable drive and disable the image updates. Or they can install ChimeraOS or anything else. Your arguments are short-sighted and useless. Zealot level sour gatekeepy nonsense that has no place in the Linux community.Quoting: rustybroomhandleNo, what makes Linux Linux is that it is open source and can be adapted to fit specific use cases. In this case it is to provide a simple to update / roll back stable experience for an appliance type device. It succeeds here for what it is intended, and to be honest I have not heard of any system updates breaking things in the 2 years since it launched. That exact same argument can be used for android. So why bother with linux at all and not use android x86 (if it supported steam)? have you forgot why you use linux? what really matters is the users freedom, not the proprietors
I really don't get why people are so weird about it.

Quoting: GuestWhy even bother with linux at all if you remove all aspects that makes it linux? you are turning linux into android. No, what makes Linux Linux is that it is open source and can be adapted to fit specific use cases. Stories like this happen every few years. In the early 2010s, a local government in some European city (I forget which) announced they were entirely switching to Linux in all their public service departments. 2 weeks go by, "no, sorry we're sticking with Windows". Turns out they had a visit from a Microsoft sales rep.
