Quoting: AnanaceWith Factorio you sit down to do one thing, only to then realize that suddenly four hours have passed.Ahh, Factorio... probably my favorite... I can't wait, about a week and a half until 0.17 is released. :woot:
Dirt Rally doesn't rob you of the time comprehension as much, you really feel every second when you're busy wrestling your car around the track.

I was playing Pathfinder:Kingmaker. I was enjoying it until I hit chapter 2. Once they spent a god-awful time explaining all the kingdom management tedium (and still only covering the basics), it completely turned me off of the game. I'm not sure I will ever go back.
I have been playing a jewel of a tower defense game also, Elemental War. I bought it during the Winter Sale and already have about 50 hours on it. I really enjoy it. (my Steam review [External Link])

It is good to see Stardock supporting linux and hopefully this will be the first of many.
This is much better then the trend of others that are only "supporting" SteamPlay.

Odd... This must be some type of coincidence because it can't possibly be related to the story. :P
But according to the badge on my profile page, my years of service on Steam will hit 6 years within the next two months. How odd is that being so close to 6 years of Steam on linux?

And unless it is on the whitelist from valve, Steam will not likely refund your money if you are outside the 2 weeks from purchase window, or over the 2 hours of gameplay when Proton no longer works for a game.
Also, even though proton sales count as linux, it is much more likely that a developer will see those sales as more money from no effort on their part, than it will to get them to support a different environment entirely.
Edit:typo

Quoting: Purple Library GuyI'm happy to be able to tell you, yes it will. Buy something and play it on Proton and it shows as a Linux sale. Valve has been quite explicit about this.Unfortunately, working on Proton is not a guarantee. Even if it works today, there is no guarantee that it will work tomorrow. Easy Anti Cheat has proven this situation. Also, any type of DRM like Denuvo is likely to give problems and also be a source of the bad situation of "works today, not tomorrow."

Looks like Easy Anti-Cheat strikes again with Steam Play, Paladins is no longer playable on Linux

I do not think Paladins was ever on that list.

Quoting: Guestvalve needs to fix this problem.make the games think it is running in windows or something because alot of games are broken because of this drm crap.i have to use windows due to games not working.when it gets fixed ill ditch it for good.Valve does have a whitelist of games for SteamPlay. It is quite tiny compared to the actual games that do work with Proton.

There's some pretty big sales going on right now, here's a look

Back to the topic of games on sale...
I noticed that Elemental War [External Link] is on sale this week on Steam... I grabbed it during the Winter Sale a month ago... I think I found a nice hidden gem with it.
Its a cool Tower Defense game, apparently inspired by some Warcraft III mod. Despite having it for only a month, I have actually played it for over 35 hours as of yesterday. I even spent the time to review it [External Link].
Its still in early access and getting balancing updates from the devs as well as multiplayer support. Its a small indie dev, and sadly not a huge player count yet... But they do have alliances; and with all the Tower Defense players here we can make a Linux Alliance and dominate the standings. :woot:
The game is stable... but they do need to do more performance tuning. It definitely gets my fans running on high while playing. But overall, I do recommend the game...
