The Steam Link is on sale again. $2.50(US)
You can bundle it with a Steam Controller for only $35.61(US) essentially only $0.62 more than a steam controller alone.
However, I remember the last time I considered getting one, the price of shipping was another $7-10 making it not nearly as good as a price.
And, in my case, I am happy just hooking my gaming laptop up to the TV screen directly, so I would rather spend the money on a new game.

Surviving Mars: Space Race expansion and Gagarin free update have released, working well on Linux

The first chart is the number of players in the last week, the lower chart is the number of players since it was released.
That is total number of players, not broken by OS. Essentially, the last week, before the free weekend, only a few hundred players are playing it at any one time, windows, mac, and linux combined. Obviously, the free weekend has generated a bunch of people trying it. One thing to note is that this is only the number of people playing through steam right now... It does not include people who bought it through GOG or direct from Paradox, and probably does not include people playing it in offline mode.
It does not seem to be a very popular game. You can search for other titles on steam as well.
Other examples: (using the weekly average)
With the exception of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS(used for comparison), all of the titles support native linux (and are in my library.) Except for HuniePop, all of the titles that average less then 1000 have mixed reviews.
While steamdb lists Surviving Mars as 1.4k average users, that is obviously distorted by the free weekend -- before it, user counts were only 309 to no more than 1.1k at any given time.
Of course there can be many factors to these results other than how popular they are including how old they are and how many people like that genre. (I should note that only Factorio is in Early Access, everything else has had a full release.)
Edit: Note to Liam: Above I used the code tag for formatting... In preview, this allowed me to not ignore whitespace and all the numbers lines up. But when posted it started to ignore white space. So you probably have a difference in your stylesheets or a missing PRE tag in HTML.

Quoting: ThormackLook in the chart on that page. (you must enable javascript if you block it.)Quoting: mylkai wonder how they have the ressources to support linuxWhere did you find this 100 players information?
https://steamdb.info/app/464920/graphs/ [External Link]
only a few 100 players
i am not complaining, but every time i see this, i ask myself: why can they do it and big companies dont. or why are games like RUST cancel linux support
I opened that link and didn't find anything related to the O.S.

I tried it yesterday due to the free weekend. It was a big download... about 4-5GB.
I was less than impressed and bored with it quite quickly. That surprised me because I am a fan of base builders. But, of course, your mileage may vary.

It seems that a lot of people love the game; but the bugs are quite extensive. Many reviewers have 75 or more hours in the game too, so I believe that they are credible reports. There is a 1.1 patch coming out next week (in their beta branch now) but multiple reviews mention regular hot fixes and the bug complaints even include reviews made today.
I am still interested in the game, but I think I will wait a little while longer while they stabilize it.
Plus... interesting how big updates happen right around steam sales.

Quoting: ShmerlI just finished looking at a bunch of the reviews on Steam...Quoting: stretch611I noticed that Pathfinder: Kingmaker Explorer Edition is on sale...It's something I'm actually also planning to buy, so I'm interested in feedback too.
Initially many people mentioned it had a bunch of bugs. Does anyone have this? Is that still true? Does the linux version work well?

thought know that I am bad... I have 403 titles on Steam (343 linux) I realize that there are people with more, but I know that with 400+ that I am a rare addict. Of course it seems like I have only played about 10% of them, and it feels like I only play 5 or 6 regularly. (Reality is that I actually have played about 20%, but it has been over the years since steam first came to linux.)
I can barely imagine what insignificant portion you have played... (Or how did you get so wealthy to afford them all and have the time to play them :D )

Quoting: g000hDecided to load up my Humble games Wishlist, and of the 69 titles wishlisted, I have needed to remove 11 of them due to purchase in the last few months. Good to keep one's housekeeping up to date ;)I hope you bought them outside of Humble... It is pretty sad if a wishlist does not automatically remove games that you buy from a store.
Quoting: g000hThinking to get Observer (in the Dystopian bundle) and Conarium (in the store sale). After I have bought 1 more game, I'll own 1.5k titles on Steam.I

That's odd... I never heard about that game. I had a Commodore 128 as well even though I started transitioning to IBM compatibles at the time. I was a big fan of Origin (the publisher) back then as well thanks to the Ultima series and AutoDuel. (And of course, the majority of games ran in Commodore 64 compatibility modes; very few games were 128 only.)
