Not the same. Atm I can just dock my controller and it charges. That's a lot easier than pulling batteries out and plugging them into a charger.
A dock could charge AA batteries as well, it doesn't have to be a non-standard battery.
Instead of a dock, it could also be recharged by pluging in a USB cable (which would let you use the pad while it charges the batteries). Yesss, I hope they'll go for this, batteries + USB cable.
Sounds unlikely, most people dont use rechargeable batteries and if thats the case they wouldnt include a docking method or a usb charging method to charge non rechargeable batteries. That could cause damage, unless of course it comes with rechargeable and has some sort of safety mechanism in case someone uses regular batteries. IDK? But to me personally these are both semi bad news, nothing major but I would prefer an internal battery (that can be replaced when end-of-life) thats usb charged and a touch screen but until I have one I cant really judge anything. Although I have no plans to give up keyboard/mouse combo that I have been using in my living room for years.

First Generation Steam Machines Revealed

Also, SteamOS (beta branch) now supports AMD cards, and the companies are banking on AMD getting their act together between now and hardware release later this year, so no, the AMD-containing machines are not a mistake. Or at least, they're hoping they won't be a mistake... I'm still skeptical. But I'd love to see AMD offer a real alternative to NVIDIA for Linux users.
Yeah I hope so too but I'll believe it when I see it. Amd/ati graphics have really burned me in the past and I won't go anywhere near it. I had so many problems before just rendering the desktop.

Humble Indie Bundle X Has Landed, Featuring Fantastic Games

Quoting: Quote from stan- Reus: unfortunately the game is very choppy. Not choppy as in « your GPU is too slow » but more like « the garbage collector is pausing the game every second »… not sure. It seems like an interesting and pretty game but it was not a joy to play (it often missed my mouse clicks), and the tutorial is a bit hard to follow.
On the steam forums the dev made a post explaining that the linux and mac port has a bug that causes constant stuttering and that they are working on it and it should be fixed shortly, at which time they will also upload the ports to steam.

Personally Reus, Bit Trip Runner 2 and Papo and Yo are why I wanted this bundle. I hear papo and yo is a lot better than the video makes it out to be. Whats funny though is that when I tried to redeem the key somehow I already had papo and yo but I dont remember how I got it.
