First Generation Steam Machines Revealed

I'm interested in the alienware machine as well. I recently read an article that valve may make their own machine afterall. Taking a look at the digital storm really gives no indication that it's a steam machine seeing as how it has no steam controller and it comes with Windows. To me that means it's just a regular pc as they have always made. Also one of them comes with amd graphics, that's probably a mistake. I do like that gigabyte is making an low powered Intel gpu box which will be good for casual gamers.

Might be a good idea to point out that it's not 7th guest which already has steam Linux support but that it's actually 7th guest 3.

Quoting: Quote from HamishWasn't trying to say you should buy anything. Was more directing it to the other guy. Either way I do enjoy a lot of the games and many of them I thought were going to be bad but ended up being in my favorite games list, like Hotline Miami. When theres a game I don't want I give it to a friend with poor health that cant afford games. He is happy when he cant get out of bed but can be entertained with a new game.Quoting: Quote from philip550cI pretty much buy games just to see the linux platform grow and because I thought that by switching to linux years ago that I would never play games again and now Im suprised by the amount we have. That is nice, but not everyone has that much to spend. I do need to receive some value to justify my input.
Honestly, to carry on this tract would be to say that none of you have ever spent money on a Linux game worth playing, which really would be giving all our developer friends a huge disservice.

I pretty much buy games just to see the linux platform grow and because I thought that by switching to linux years ago that I would never play games again and now Im suprised by the amount we have. According to a video about steam machines I saw yesterday, Gabe was saying that by the time steam machines go on sale there will be over 400 linux games on steam. Pretty exciting whether or not you actually play them.

Ive been playing this is single player a bunch but my friends and I couldnt get it to work multiplayer. After clicking the button to start the multiplayer game it just sits there with nothing happening. And then other times it crashes while selecting the multiplayer options. Single player is fantastic though.
