Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition Planning A Day-1 Linux Release
23 Jun 2015 at 11:25 am UTC

Quoting: amonobeaxIDK if this is important too but NVIDIA released PHYSIX sdk source code on Github
GOL covered that back in March.

The problem I personally have with it is the very restrictive, non-free license.

Sony Is Creating A List Of Crowdfunding Projects To Gauge Interest
18 Jun 2015 at 1:38 pm UTC Likes: 5

EDIT: Toned my reply down a bit. I guess I misread the intentions of this article, and went in far too hostile. My apologies.

What many Linux gamers have suggested and what many other Linux gamers have shot down time and time again is now being done by Sony, a major publisher and console manufacturer.
It's was a bad move then, and it is a bad move now. Sony is exploiting the Kickstarter model to abuse it as a marketing tool. This is not good and we should not applaud it. And no, we should not strive to emulate it!

you must also remember that these bigger entities usually answer to investors who care solely about how much they profit from an investment.
Yes, and they are now entirely heaping all the risks of investing on us, while keeping all the benefits and profits. This is a weighted system: entirely good for them, entirely bad for us.

Valve Finally Have A Proper Refund Policy For Steam

Quoting: kalinThere is nothing for abuse
Well, many games can be played without having Steam running. So you could, theoretically, buy the game, install it, copy the game data somewhere else, and then ask for a refund. You get your money back and keep playing the game outside of Steam. Of course, you'll lose features like cloud saves and achievement tracking, but you might not care about those.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I am not advocating that you do this. This would be illegal too.

A games console? Does an original Game Boy count?

Steam Replaces The Linux Tux Logo With SteamOS

Ugh, I hate it.

Another thing I just found out and hate: Enhanced Steam stopped supporting Firefox. 7.3 was the last version for Firefox, the later ones are Chrome-only. Instead, they want to concentrate on an Enhanced Steam standalone application, which just defeats the purpose of Enhanced Steam altogether. Blergh.

Torment: Tides Of Numenera RPG Has A New Trailer

Quoting: Feistafter all TBwP would be quite redundant
Well, depends. I thought you meant that as a pun on the IE games not being "true" real-time. :)

Torment: Tides Of Numenera RPG Has A New Trailer
26 May 2015 at 8:10 am UTC

Quoting: FeistHowever, I´m hoping that it´s TBwP, like Pillars.
Pillars is Real-Time with Pause, not turn-based. Unlike the Infinity Engine games, combat in Pillars isn't even turn-based under the hood; it's fully real-time.

From what is currently known, Torment: Tides of Numenera will be fully turn-based, like Wasteland 2. But unlike Wasteland 2, combat in Torment is supposed to be mostly optional (at least depending on your playstyle and character). There's nearly always going to be other ways to solve things than through combat.

Bullshit.

Quoting: InsperatusI guess I'll wait and see.
I'd rather you go away.

Quoting: Insperatuswhat gamergate is

Naw, it feels more sealionistic than antagonistic.

Quoting: Insperatusdisliking these politics is itself, political
Oh, wonder, there we actually agree. Curious, because most of the whiny kids on in your hate-group see it differently.
