That pitch video sounds interesting.

Humble Indie Bundle 9 Adds New Games, Two Brand New To Linux

I also had problems with my gamepad (Logitech Dual Action) in Mark of the Ninja. For some stupid reasons, the xbox controller the game expects treats the trigger buttons as axes, while my gamepad, of course, treats them as buttons. I can't map a button to an axis with jscal, so no dice with just that.

I managed to fiddle something that mostly works together with xboxdrv (manually mapping everything) and jscal (to reorder the axes). But no matter what I try, the dpad isn't recognized.

On a positive note, I'm completely hooked on the Rocketbirds soundtrack. :)

Quoting: Humbleworking on a Free Open Source software project can even land you a job at the "best employer" in the world if you want to
Valve does that kind of thing. Ditto with LordHavoc: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTExMDM [External Link]

Quoting: Humbleimplies that Free Open Source wouldn't be as successfull and quality as it is, if it weren't for the corporations that let their employees work on Open Source projects.
Well, yes and no. SDL was developed by Sam Lantinga for Loki Software, after all.

Yes, of course!
Look, I'm not trying to say you meant to write that a then-Valve-employee started SDL. Just that it can be read that way. I just wanted to make sure everyone, including the other GoL readers, is on the same page here. :)

Yes, of course, but it was a bit ambiguous :P

And about them improving lldb... Well, I'd rather they'd work on gdb, but that's just me and my GPL fetish.

Several Valve developers actually work on SDL [External Link] itself (it was also started by a Valve employee)
Well, Sam Lantinga now works at Valve, he didn't at the time.

Wizardry 6&7 RPG Games On Steam Using Dosbox

It's also very weird that they use the same screenshots GOG uses, char names referencing GOG and all...

I'd really like a Linux version of Wizardry 8, though that one could be a bit more complex. When I tried it last in Wine a few years ago, there were problems with crashes, reproducible, when I moved to certain places in the game world. As long as I didn't look at those places, it was fine, but as soon as I changed the camera so that those would be in view, CRASH.

Still, I do have some nostalgia related to this game. It was one of the last I played before I kicked Windows off my HDD. :)
