For anyone who wants a quick view of Proton compatibility when looking at the Steam page of a game:

I was using the "Steam Play Compatibility Reports" script by DanMan for a while, but it's based on old data that hasn't been updated in quite some time. So I made my own version, which looks similar but uses current data.

Quoting: Solitarythe client only renders black content
For me, it's all white rather than all black. Thanks for the link; I had previously found the workaround (from people talking about a previous bug on Windows, I think) but not the official bug report.

There was a physical release by a porting company?
Indeed... I think I got mine through Linux Game Publishing, before they folded.

Wasn't there talk of a SDL1 -> SDL2 wrapper library? So older SDL games could also benefit from the newer library?

Ah, looks like that was in their pre-publishing days; it shows in this list:

That publisher doesn't look Linux-friendly:

And ProtonDB says that game doesn't work. :(

Does it work with this particular video? As I recall, it just uses the embed version, which YouTube is now blocking apparently.

Edit: Ah, I see it has an option to proxy to a real/dummy user account.

RetroArch need your feedback on their Open-Hardware planned for 2022

Manufacturing compatible hardware seems like opening the door to lawsuits; Nintendo in particular likes to lawyer up. I hope it doesn't go that way, but I personally wouldn't want that liability. That said, as a potential consumer, I hope it is successful!

Quoting: CatKillerI hope this won't be an issue for the Steam Deck; that they'll have rolled out their re-encoding solution by the time the Deck ships.
I haven't followed too closely; does anyone know the (technical? legal?) issues with the solution used in ProtonGE?
