They could dramatically simplify by having the backplate pre-assembled (grill, thermal plate, button base), but I guess if your target audience is modding enthusiasts, it makes sense to not do that. Increases support/refund requests, though.

If the DOS version used the Build engine, and the Nightdive version (probably) used their KEX engine, then there's a good chance the data files from neither of those would work with this source release. Happy to be proven wrong, though!

Eh? Last I heard, they explicitly check for, and BLOCK, Wine. In other words, they went out of their way to make it NOT work. Is there something else happening now? (Not that I care personally, but it seems to be popular with kids)
