Quoting: bekoCan add now:

  • Fly Dangerous [External Link] 100% off (cuz it's free and will always be - oh and it's opensource)

Steam threw a wrench into the planned release date so it only popped up today and not at the start of the Racing Fest.
Wow, nice! Works on FreeBSD! :D Thank you!

Classic Sonic games being delisted to make way for Sonic Origins

Hello,

Give Sonic Time Twisted a whirl if you haven't already: https://www.indiedb.com/games/sonic-time-twisted [External Link]

I stumbled upon this a couple of weeks ago while randomly browsing indiedb and was very surprised I've not heard about it before. It's very good! Don't think GOL has done an article about it before; this game needs some exposure now considering this news from Sega.

Enjoy!

Edit: Although the indiedb page says Windows only, there is a Linux download in the Files section. It's 32bit though, so if you are running 64bit only...you'll need to install some 32bit libs to play. Worked for me in OpenSUSE Leap 15.4 beta

Whoa...GoL got mentioned as a source and linked in PC Gamer article. Maybe it happened before but it's the first time I noticed it. Will probably drive some traffic here. Way to go!

PUBG's newer anti-cheat sounds problematic for the Steam Deck and Linux
13 Dec 2021 at 5:59 pm UTC Likes: 2

Quoting: ShmerlI'm sure Linux users usually understand better than Windows ones that running malware is a bad idea, even if it's labeled as "anti-cheat".
Yup

Quoting: LoftyWe can talk about market share, accessibility & compatibility all day long but the fact of the matter is, most anti-cheat is becoming essentially spyware bordering on malware.
Agreed

Quoting: MalCall it what you want it, but that's Spyware. I don't see why anyone should put effort to support that on linux. I don't see added value, but damage here.

A shame for who likes the game, but if you have to make your pc insecure for it, make a Windows partition and use it to play pubg, while you use the Linux one for all the serious stuff like banking, shopping, play sensible games and so on.
Well said

Microsoft Edge available officially for Linux today as a stable browser

Quoting: Schattenspiegelnot popular - people are just to lazy to google chrome
I use it on my work laptop (I work at a Windows/.net/Azure shop), and to be honest, everything works just like it does in chrome...no surprise since it's basically chromium with some added MS stuff on top; as far as rendering webpages, watching videos and playing games, it's just like chrome...so no need to switch, at least not for work where I don't do anything personal. I do have chrome to test the occasional bug that I think I'm hitting because edge, but then I see the exact same bug in Chrome.

Would I both installing it on my linux/bsd PCs that already have firefox/chromium? No, there's no point for me. But I don't mind having the option even if i personally don't need it.

Love Sonic? Check out the Sonic 30th Anniversary Bundle

Quoting: benjamimgoisSonic was my favorite franchise when i was a child (90s kid). Such a charismatic character, but the formula doesn't resisted the transition to 3D... at least, sega couldn't deliver it.
Hi. Have you tried Sonic Generations? I had a lot of fun with this one. There is also the Sonic Generations - Unleashed Project mod on moddb for it that plays very well too. If you haven't tried it, give it a whirl, may change your opinion. I haven't tried the other 3D sonic games, but Generations I highly recommend :)

Edit: I should mention that when I played this, it was on Win7. Although the game is marked as Gold in protondb, I haven't tried it linux. But if it does work well, it's a fun game for Sonic fans to have :)
