FWIW, if you have a Chromebook handy (or a laptop running ChromeOS Flex in my case), the update runs flawlessly

I wouldn't call Stray a walking simulator (unless you want to call any non-sandbox game a walking simulator), it has stealth elements and nonlinear exploring & fetch quests, but it is not an innovative game.

Quoting: BlackBloodRumI missed the first steam controller (because I'm certified stupid ) so if they release a new one, gonna grab it!
I have 3, the only thing that's been a problem with them is I wore the pads off the analog sticks on 2 of them (replaced them pretty easily). I'd be happy to buy a SC2 eventually

I think them finally fixing issues with Nvidia GPUs w/gamemode (new BPM) is a nice step towards getting SteamOS 3.x out as a generic ISO. I'd love to get it set up on my old Steam Machine (currently running Manjaro stable and new BPM), the ease of Valve's updates on the Steam Deck translated to a dedicated HTPC would be nice to have again.

Not sure if it was the libaudio issue, but the update fixed an issue I was having with some games lock up in new BPM that worked fine otherwise.

Now if they would look more into the invisible mouse issue with Steam Controllers in Wayland, I'd be very happy.

Steam Deck Client update out fixing up more Big Picture Mode issues

Well, the new BPM currently doesn't work for me at all since it isn't drawn on the screen when I use X11, but then when I use Wayland, BPM doesn't display full screen (just in a window), then crashes and reloads randomly whenever I click on anything. Some people with Nvidia GPUs have had some success with using it under gamescope, but I just get a big black screen with that. Running Manjaro stable with kernel 6.0 and the 520.56 Nvidia drivers

QuoteThe bug where opening the Steam menu (at least on Fedora KDE Plasma + NVIDIA) shows what's behind the Big Picture Mode window is still present, annoyingly.

This happens on Gnome with Nvidia proprietary as well

The focus issue was one of the showstoppers for me on my Steam Machine, glad it got fixed!

Quoting: Mar2ckIt's weird that they'd only force-enable GPU acceleration on Linux since lots of Windows users were also having that problem. But it looks like if you're on Linux + Nvidia then it'll just fallback to slow software rendering anyway so I hope they fix those driver woes before this reaches stable.
I'd be fine with it being a little slow if it didn't sometimes change my audio settings that I manually set up within their application and inconsistently highlighting games when browsing them in my library. 🙄 Until then I'm sticking to old BPM on my htpc
