Oh man, how much did i hate it back then when it was just a messy DRM - made me quit my (halfway successful) counterstrike-career ^^
Given the marketshare of Steam, it's really a blessing that valve didn't rest but kept improving steam to the comfort it offers today...

Quoting: peta77So this means what? Is my Thrustmaster Pendular Rudder Pedals finally recognized in Wine games?if i understand correctly, that should probably be the case, yes - several players of our SC-Org had missing axis that have been fixed by this - and for me, it even fixed that for the t16000, JS only registred the twist axis and EV was needed for the slider.

There is never a reason beyond the publisher being anti-consumer to pre-order any digital good

I'm SO eager to play this thing, the demo was awesome. And i'm really dissapointed and almost angry they neglect linux when it ran so darn well in the demo already. But i'm staying strong and wait until they release linux to finally throw money at them...

Another reason to put your money where your mouth is and support Linux-supporting devs instead of devs that don't care. (Personally, official support for proton is fine too)

I've pretty big hands, so finding a mouse always was a bit of a challenge...and then i decided it would be better to go vertical to not let the wrist get worse....man did i have to try out a lot of mice ^^
Currently rocking a zelotes c18, pretty great budget mouse for big hands!
Though i'm still thinking about getting a logitech mx vertical...

Quoting: 1xokthats what i heard, yeah. Downloading GEs proton is not a huge obstacle for most of us, but not really the proper answer to what valve set out to offer with the Deck...Quoting: LinasI wonder if they are ever going to officially support Media Foundation? There are so many games that work just fine, except missing video playback.True. Could be a license problem.
Frozenbyte are now telling Linux users to use Proton, even for their older games

TBH, better official Proton support than a bad Port - that much i agree with.
But dropping native without committing to keep the game running well in default proton is just bad...
