Honestly it amazes me companies, bigger ones especially, don't see how these projects can benefit them and instead send the lawyersyeah, i really don't get how dense you have to be to decide "i'd rather take a shitstorm and damage my reputation with the fanbase instead of free advertisement to keep the IP relevant and maybe even some sales from very old games"...

i must say i'm kinda disappointed by the pretty slow dev-speed. Sure, being rich overnight doesn't hire new devs immediately, but the changes since "release" are really not much, even for a small team...

Without sliders, there would be no way to put the money towards the linux-native devs, so i very much appreciate them ^^

They are very welcomed to go back to the time before steam and get 80%-90% taken away by publishers and retailers...
The fact alone that they state the (free!) key provisions as a tool to suppress cheaper stores is laughable.
I really hope this will be rejected by court...

That sounds like a good approach for a demo!
I'll have to give it another go then, tried the demo when it first came out and couldn't really get me hyped despite the setting sounding pretty neat to me ^^

i really loved the books and the other Metro games, so i'd be happy to get a key :D
after the EGS-desaster i really hadn't have much hope that they would release this for linux, so its a really pleasant surprise that they did after all - might make up for the fact that they sold themselfs to the devil in making their game exclusive ^^

Douchebag moves like this drove people like me away from crowdfunding - so good job in making future indie titles less likely to succeed!

Seeing how utterly amazing the experience of alyx was, i really really hope, they stick to VR for the next games, too. There are more than enough great flat games, it would be a shame to limit their genius because not everybody has a headset yet ^^

Just tried it again (first time with the vulkan renderer working on KDE) - man, what a difference! Runs even smoother than it did with proton last time that worked. Now only the graphical glitches on the map and point-bar need to be adressed ^^
Really good to see Linux being up to par again, was neglected for far too long.
