On the one hand, I hate everything google and would much rather it had no connection to Linux. On the other hand, it’s actually one of the better toolkits out there, with lots of app potential.

It’s meh for the price. And I’m quite comfortable with the level of privacy other people offer, but I really do want to encourage such endeavours. Maybe donate to the project, but not actually buy any of their laptops?

I will get a lot of flak for this, but do yourself a favour. If you play Black Mesa, get Proton. You’d get 20% more FPS, 100% fewer crashes, just remember to add the Old UI command switch and you”re golden.
What have you been playing recently and what's your pick this weekend?

Quoting: WorMzyDungeons 3 - Just started, and it's as wacky as Dungeon Keeper, but doesn't have the same level of charm. The controls are clunky and switching between dungeon and overworld maps is jarring. Still, I'm enjoying it so far, but I'm finding myself being drawn back to War for the Overworld.I found dugeons 2 to be much more polished than 3.

I finished Black Mesa Source. I couldn’t earlier because of crashing. Now thanks to proton I can...
I was also playing BBI’s Homeworld Remastered on GOG. It runs really well, almost as if people knew how to code.
On the side (I’m confined to my laptop atm) some Starcraft 2 (I keep scratching my head as to why only one specific build of wine, with either Esync or Fsync off can run the launcher.
Oh and NBlood being the best game. No questions.

I'm sorry to say, but for the time being, it's the right call.
I myself struggled to enjoy Black Mesa Source, by stubbornly ignoring the obvious option to use Proton + win32 binary. Him reducing the bite to what he can chew is a good thing....
Except... If you have a Linux native version as a selling point, you should be decent-enough to offer refunds for the people who (rightfully) feel like they've been hoodwinked.

Black Mesa Source. Wine + DXVK. I want to know if there’s a difference, how much and what needs to be done to help.
