It is definitely a pretty great piece of software.
Been using it for the last two of my keyboards.

This Steam Deck Durability Test had me watching in horror

Quoting: devlandNever in day to day use would you put a cutter to it and start hacking away.
That's not how hacking works?!

... on a more serious note, I've got to agree with those questioning the point of the video.
Some of these "tests" go way beyond strong usage/dropping/scratching testing. Might as well have gone for a "Will it Blend?"
Seems a bit tone deaf to waste a unit apparently so many people are waiting for.

Quoting: TheRiddickThis thing taking way to long to come to Australia, wonder what the Steam Deck 2 will be like. Maybe a 7000 series APU? or perhaps they will get a custom RDNA3 job done.
I want to temper your expectations. Just because Gabe said he's interested in a second model...

Doesn't mean we'll ever see one and my expectation is that we will likely not see one. You can hold me to that.
I'm definitely expecting a second one. At some point.

A third one, however, given Valve's inability to count to three...

Thanks though to Proton
for killing native linux games development
Others have already shown how that narrative is easily proven false.

Either way, even if it was:
Why care?
Can you play the game at a good performance while using a superior OS? Yes/no. That's what matters.
What bytecode an executable has under the hood is about as relevant as the color of your PC case.

If a dev decides to support Proton vs support a native executable doesn't matter, either, as long as one of those options happen.
For a lot of devs, the first option is vastly more feasible, though (due to their lack of Linux dev knowledge).

Canonical going 'all in' on gaming for Ubuntu, new Steam Snap package in testing

Quoting: tamodoloFedora 36 is the first Linux release that actually solves input delay to be on pair with windows. They did this unintentionaly as it was an issue related to touchpads. I am extremely happy by this fix as FINALY FINALY Linux is starting to move forward instead of just doing sidesteps and go anywhere.
Sounds more like a bug to me that you had there.
I've been gaming on Linux since years, including very fast-paced games (FPS) on both Ubuntu- & Arch-based distros and I've yet to notice any input lag (excluding lag that is caused by the CPU being overburdened).

Definitely my impression.

Kinda curious to see what it actually adds to the formula.
