Quoting: devlandWill it have drm on steam?
Beside Steam DRM? No.

Also no anti-cheat.

This is not some sort of mmorpg. More a "Have fun with 2-4 peeps in a feautiful sandbox" game.

Well, I can tell it does run like a charm on Linux, both AMD and NVIDIA :)

Here's a few of the Linux games we're excited to see through 2021

Quoting: kaimanLooking through my own list of interesting upcoming games, Linux support is mostly absent. Sad.
That's thanks to Proton I guess. Why bother with a bad port when Proton does it better?

This is good - as long as it works.

Makes the preferable native releases feel very thin today.

Ah, anyway, good that I've a huge backlog of games to play (or replay) :)

33% on GoG (and they also have a Deluxe version xD)
Ha, Also Known As; Game + Soundtrack.
The manual is in the extra edition, too (which I find strange, but I'll probably get the game with manual, but discounted).
Ye, that is weird. Wondered as well and also skipped on the Deluxe and got the "default". Just saying :) Some like the additional fluff. I've no time for this and hardly ever look at any. Must be at least a The Witcher artbook to get my attention ;-)

Quoting: Avehicle7887The first time I saw Linux logo on a retail game was many years ago with Unreal Tournament 2004. Much as retail boxes are becoming a thing of the past, it would be great to see Linux icon on them.
I've that box but there were several boxed games before :>

Dem… Loki Software was too early for it's time.

Quoting: g000hCan anyone advise me - If I were to play the Survival Sandbox mode of the game, would it spoil the single player campaign?

The reason I ask is that I'd rather play the campaign once all the Chapters are released. At the same time, I expect that each Chapter is quite distinct and can be played on its own without influencing the later chapters (Is that true?)
Won't spoil you but for the location. The story plays on the maps and if you know the maps already it *may* be less fun.

The chapters don't influence each other. Mebbe starting gear that you brought from a previous map but that's it.

Quoting: EhvisNever heard of it either. The date format is a hint as well. The problem with US stores is that when you've added tax, shipping and customs fees, it's not really worth it. So not that surprising that US stores remain fairly unknown in Europe.
Still, System76 is known (by word, at least). So sounds to me like PR department did something horrible wrong (or not at all).
