Quoting: fenevadkanNice, it is like the new C64 :)
They could have got the 8GB verson (or even 16GB)
Quoting: emphyImo, the lack of space for an ssd (either sata or m.2, or even integrated like in the compute module) is a bit of a missed opportunity, especially for the advertised daily desktop use.
I think that this is the first variation and more aimed at schools or people just wanting to use a RPi4 for learning for cheap.

If this makes sucess and attract a lot of attention, they would have all reasons to invest in a Pro version with more memory and a SSD

For real? I bought this game and only played on Windows but i've been hesitant to play on Linux because people said that the native version is really bugged

Intel teases with 11th gen desktop Rocket Lake-S CPU info, max of 8 cores

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoI think is not the right time for a cpu upgrade...

I prefer to wait a year or two until Intel or AMD adopt the DDR5 [External Link] standard
Well, if someone have a 7 generation Intel Core or a Ryzen First Gen, then upgrading to Rocket Lake or Ryzen 5xxx is actually a really nice upgrade

Quoting: undeadbydawnUnfortunately this special even has cranked up the difficulty of DL considerably, with waves of fast zombies spawning every minute or so. This makes it not really worth playing for me as while it isn't 'impossible' to carry on the single player campaign, it is a massive pain to make any progress.
This is a damned shame as I was planning to play this game *a lot* over this week.
For regular play, Dying Light is superb and absolutely worth the money

Thanks. I played again yesterday, i was lvl 2 and couldnt get to do anything whatsoever because there was always a huge crowd of zombies running behind me. It was not fun
At the beginning the game is meant to be played more like ground is lava mentality anyway. Though in the event almost all zombies are virals, so there's no peace on the roofs for long. On top of that stamina at the beginning is limited, so running away is not easy. When you have completed the game, you have a grappling hook, unlimited stamina and a shotgun.

During the event shotgun ammo even lights zombies on fire and visiting safe houses fills up ammo. Though even shotgun doesn't help if you get yourself surrounded...
I did played this game before. But recently i started a new game and it was becoming pretty boring to constantly having to run and not being able to explore. Hell, 5 seconds after leaving a safe house i was already overwhelmed by zombies

Quoting: KristianThe last time I had a ATI card(as they were called back then) it resulted in a "hardware manufacture error". Being boycotting them ever since. I will sooner cut off my leg and eat it before I ever buy a AMD card. I treat them as they don't exist and hate them with a passion. So I have been Nvidia only since that incident in 2009 and seeing people talking about problem with AMD cards under Linux for the first period after release has only confirmed my stance. What can I say, I have grudges...
I know how you feel because i had issues with a Dell with a Radeon 260X in 2015 that it was easier to just deactivate the GPU.

But i have in my main PC a RX470 and it works great. The support is good and all drivers are mature now. I had zero issues whatsoever running the Mesa drivers.

If you buy a new card from AMD and decide to use Mesa, there will be issues, but a older card will work just fine

Quoting: GuerrillaWhile I am impressed with the price/performance with the Big Navi reveal, given how much of a dumpster fire the Nvidia 3000 series launch was with scalpers and the fact that I'm not particularly savvy with Linux, I'm thinking of buying a 5600XT for my new build.

While it's not a huge jump over my R9 Fury (likely 50% performance improvement), it has the advantages of:

- Pop OS! 20.04 will have great support out of the box
- Available at much lower prices (if lower end Big Navi was revealed, this would not be a point)
- Is actually available for purchase

The plan is to take my current PC and basically turn it into a "game console" connected to the TV. The 5600XT will go into the new build and in a year or two, I can move it into the TV PC and get a nicer GPU for my desktop. By that point, Big Navi will likely be better supported and possibly at a nicer price.
I have a RX470 and honestly, im pretty happy with it. Of course i would love to have a Big Navi with a Ryzen 9 5950X but it would be really expensive and i just dont want to deal with problems of a new release. I got a Ryzen 2700 instead of a 3600 because it was cheaper and all the issues had gone already

Cmon people, you guys are seriously giving attention to someone who says things like that?
It's a guy saying that you should not buy something because of your ideologies and is defending Nvidia at every possible chance

Quoting: thoughtfulhippoWait, what? That Phoenix Point that dropped Linux because it "requires a large amount of specialised graphics programming" is now coming to Stadia? I'm guessing they still won't release for Linux. This makes me even more salty!
Things like that is why i dont give a shit to Stadia. Is running linux but for the companies, they are completely different platforms. Cases like Doom that was ported to Linux before it was ported to Stadia just so they could test the game shows that these companies wont invest on linux or anything.

Also, this game had a lot of controversy when launched because it was funded via kickstarter, then was released exclusively on Epic Store and when people complained, they stated that could give back all kickstarter money because the Epic check was worth it
