Seems like Cyberpunk 2077 should work better overall now too, as they mentioned their inability to reproduce a previous GPU hang. It's not clear if the game was fixed or if their work in VKD3D-Proton with a "memory allocation rewrite in 2.2" fixed it. Either way it seems to work okay now.Boy do i know this type of bug. It's solved but you dont know how that happen so the fear of that bug returning is big.

Quoting: fagnerlnIt's a R3 2200U, which is 2 Cores/4 Threads and Vega 3 so its running on par with the specsQuoting: slaapliedjeTo be fair, it's a bit disappointing 720p with hiccups on MadMax, 1080@30fps would be nice. They are using an APU like R3 2200G?Quoting: RafiLinuxThat should work fine. I'll see about slapping Lutris on there tonight. So far I've tested Debian Sid with Mad Max (plays using the Experimental Vulkan on High with a little bit of hiccups here and there, but otherwise pretty smooth at 1280x720). I installed Doom (2016) to test proton, but it was taking it's time to download the 59gb...Quoting: slaapliedjeAnything in particular you'd like to see?Installing the other OS options - Loading my GOG/other DRM Free game collection.
I've also ran PCSX2 and Dolphin on it with decent results.

Quoting: einherjarStadia version is using Wine? Didnt CDPR ported to StadiaQuoting: Wernergreat news, but i ordered it on stadia, since finally it started in my country, i wanted to test it anyway and because they make a nice gift, if you buy Cyberpunk, you will get the Stadia Premiere Edition for free, so the game is free :). If the game is really that good then i will buy it later when all bugs are fixed and all dlc are released on Gog :).Hmm why not buying on Steam? I mean, who made it possible to play it on Linux?

Honestly 8GB of RAM is not that bad. Actually, it's enough for web browsing, zoom and etc so for most people would be fine.
I'm still impressed with those 4GB laptops with Windows 10. Windows alone eats 2GB of RAM so the user can only open some tabs in Chrome before the performance suffers

Has a better performance per dollar and the difference in price between then its not that big

Quoting: Lord_PhoenixGo with the 6800XT.Quoting: ShmerlCustom models will come out on November 25th.I don't see much value this time around (with RTX3000 and RX6000 series) in AOB versions of the cards. Probably with nVidia you get a normal power connectors and better cooling, but for AMD...I'm not sure, it looks like reference design is very efficient (read silent/cool (as in temp.)). But OC-wise, reference designs are running very close to the limits already, so...
As for me, I'm still a bit torn between 6800 and 6800XT, I'm not running 4K setup, only 2K, but I'd like some head room for a few years...my Ryzen 5900X is on a back order for God know how long, so I still have time to decide, I guess. I'm finally going AMD for Graphics, last time that happened it was Radeon 9550...

Quoting: slaapliedjeThey probably dont release due to costs. The public that needs a high performance SBC is really small and is willing to pay a lot for it, so you see cases like the Jetson Xavier [External Link] which is pretty expensive.Quoting: WJMazepasInteresting.Quoting: slaapliedjeUnfornately is not that easy. Until today, there isnt a PCSX2 port for ARM until today. The only that i know is the Damon PS2 that is available on AndroidQuoting: TheLinuxPlebIs there going to be any ARM version? I think i saw somewhere that this is x86 only.Pretty sure PCSX2 is all open source, so in theory just needs a recompile. I don't think it's one of those emulators that are coded in a way they won't even work on 64bit systems.
On that note, I was just wondering why we haven't ever seen any of the higher end SoC makers release SBCs out there like the Pi. I mean some of the cell phones are getting crazy performance, and would make excellent mini computers. Granted I know most of them use closed source blobs for graphics, but the performance of them is pretty nice. I mean Apple thinks it is time, why not Qualcomm?
