the publisher of the original Spintires stiffed the developer and that's why Mudrunner exists, better engine/game/features/support and is in active development, has had 2 free DLC, console ports coming and much more. Original Spintires is abandoned [External Link] and neither game will come to Linux. If you're thinking of buying either game, do take this into consideration.

I'll give them a pass on the Nvidia nonsense and a slightly raised eyebrow at the prices. I'll just leave a note here; there will always be an extra cost involved when buying a pre-assembled PC vs buying parts and building it yourself, that's the nature of the beast.

Compared to the well-polished Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack [External Link], this game looks pretty rough. :S:
edit: I realize Slime Research is an Early Access title and not exactly the same as Tales... but I think they're similar enough to at least warrant mentioning.
