The Witcher 3 was apparently never planned for Linux

Quoting: KallestofelesWhat pisses me off most about this is the fact that CDPR has never made a clear statement about the possibilities of a linux release - they have always just ignored the question altogether.
That's not true. See above. They answered this question multiple times. But, they never provided any concrete plans (like dates of release and etc.). They only confirmed that they indeed planned it and were even working on it. Later that changed to "looking into" and "exploring", which indicates some difficulties I suppose.

It was clearly planned to be developed, as CD Projekt Red confirmed multiple times (see here [External Link]).

Since this was a response from GOG support, I think you need to understand it in their context. GOG never planned to sell TW3 for Linux, because CDPR never asked them to. They didn't have anything to sell. It doesn't mean they never had plans to make it though.

Anyway, support folks can't answer questions about their parent company's plans. That's a question to their management.

Quoting: amelcherI can say that I unfortunately am not currently working with FWH on SW2. I had some good talks with people at GDC, but I've been too busy to followup with them. It does seem they have engineers internally that use Linux so if they are advertising it then it should happen.
It's good that they have in-house Linux programmers. It means they are taking things seriously and want to support Linux as a primary target.

Sci-fi / cyberpunk themed game by Daedalic? I'm interested and will wait for the GOG release.

Slain: Back From Hell released for Linux on GOG, some thoughts

It's not as insanely hard as Maldita Castilla, but it's still quite challenging (both were inspired by Ghosts n' Goblins in some way.). Good platformer overall. Graphics and animations are very well done, as well as music. Combat is refreshing with all the special moves and attacks.

A look at Planet Nomads now it's in closed alpha and available on Linux

Looks pretty good already. I'll probably buy an alpha version when it will come out on GOG.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided looks like it may be getting a Linux & SteamOS release

Pretty interesting, but a pity it's Square Enix. Low chances of it coming out DRM-free.

Shadow Warrior 2 has another new gameplay video if you didn't see it already

Looks very good. I just hope they allow switching those UI markers off. They break the immersion I think.
