As long as denuvo is in it, it's a hard pass.

I'd also like an explanation of just why it needs a 2k acct to do multiplayer.
Civ 6 does fine just using the steam accounts.

Nice to see a native linux version on day 1, so I am a bit torn as I do want to support that.
(just not with the above, and of course, the top end price is what, $180CDN? ouch.)

Nexus Mods new cross-platform app v0.7.1 released finally supporting upgrades - better modding for Linux / Steam Deck

You can also disable seeing adult mods on Nexus.
The actual sexmods are not on Nexus anyway. :P

That's what I'm waiting on, the cam background changing (virtual would be nice) ability.
I can do it in windows with an extra nvidia package, but that one isn't available for linux. (bad nvidia)

Ok, subscription based MMOs. (ala WoW)

I'm gonna be leery about future Blizz games after the idiocy of D4. (mmo lite thing)

Nope. ANY game that requires me to make an account with them does not get purchased.

Except for MMO type, where duh, you do NEED one.

Single player? Frack no.

Of course, I could make another new gmail acct just for them, but honestly,
none of their games are appealing to me anyway.

C'mon. 4 people. 4 submarines.

Whaddya think will happen then?

hee-hee!

(I turn off the waterfog thing though. Can see better, and makes it gorgeous at night.)

I'm gonna give it a spin when it comes out.

EA though, so this should be amusing. :)

I always ask WHY do I need an account for a single player game.

(having worked for a software company, I already know the answer)

This is causing a stir on civfanatics. Adding this makes it a hard pass for many. (including me)

Quoting: robvvInteresting that the Steam store page [External Link] mentions Denuvo. Presumably this will be for Windows rather than Linux, though I wonder if some form of DRM will be included in the Linux build?
