Hmm so 99eur for a dock with another power supply I won't use(the one I got with the deck is still sitting here unplugged and unused).
While I appreciate them providing both - especially for new users - I'd appreciate a no-power supply option for a discount.

Quoting: EikeThe story of No Man's Sky is astounding. I wonder if there ever was a game that dead on arrival that has risen again to such heights. Compliments to the developers and publishers who believed in the game.Final Fantasy XIV comes to mind. 1.0 crashed hard. Though I have to say I had fun with No Man's Sky over the years - and I've played it since launch on and off(usually like a bit every year(1-3 weeks). I still have a story in NMS when I was playing it on how I landed on a moon, had no more launch fuel and had to walk around the moon for 2-3h until I found an outpost that I could buy more fuel xD

Given I stick to lgogdownloader as my archiver and minigalaxy as my GOG Launcher - not too bothered(at least for native releases, lutris for wine). Having talked with some devs about issues they have on releasing Linux builds on GOG - there is a lot more they need to do behind the scenes then anything. Still I'll prefer GOG over any other store.
XIVLauncher now on Linux, gets FINAL FANTASY XIV Online running on Steam Deck

Another friend couldn't get it working with the new version on Windows - you know the environment that they officially support.
These are things they need to solve in general for all platforms. I'm generally not affected since I play on playstation but I have played for almost a year on linux as well at some point due to reasons. And we are talking about paying customers - you don't need to officially support but you can do minor tweaks that cost you next to nothing to make it work and thus gain good will and more paying customers(FFXIV is a sub based game).

Quoting: LeopardYes it works fine - to the point where a friend of mine had to make a workaround to copy a config file each time before starting the launcher because the launcher decided to delete it.Hopefully at some point it won't be needed, if Square Enix can look at the issues with their official launcherIt works just fine on their targeted platform (Windows), why they should have?
Thing is; they announced they will be switching to new launcher for good like 1.5 years ago.
So if one party should be blamed here; i would say Wine/Proton.
Square Enix or any other company whom are pushing Windows builds do not have any obligations for SteamOS/Proton users.

Hmm I've been doing this kind of stuff with pulse without much of a problem at all - and it gives me network audio as well which is a big use case for me - I funnel all my different devices to a rpi with a dac to output to my primary speaker system.
Haven't seen that with pipewire.

As someone who prefers his games on GOG this is somewhat disapointing - but I can understand it for technical reasons.
A friend of mine was doing some digging around at one point - I believe for everspace - and it seems like GOG has a bit of a technical limitation atm in their backend that doesn't allow to set other OS versions of a game as "beta" and such. So requires a lot more testing and finalizing to get it to the same "quality".
