Quoting: tuubiI'm sure he understood what you meant, but r600 happens to be the name of the Mesa device driver that supports the evergreen series of AMD hardware. Confusing, I know. I think the "evergreen+" in the changelog means that these features were added for this particular generation of hardware and newer, not everything the driver supports. The older cards aren't likely to get compute shaders any time soon.Right, now I get it. :D

Quoting: Ari El UnoI mean r600 (HD 2000 series) not Evergreen. I'd bold it.Quoting: tonRWell, as long Mesa not break I'm fine with that. Very curious how Mesa performance on Intel onboard graphic..Nope.
OpenGL 4.3 on r600/evergreen with hw fp64 supportWow! HD2000 series? That's pretty old graphic card. It was on my wishlist along side GeForce 8 when I was teenager. Never got it. :(
Evergreen is Radeon HD 5000 series. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radeon_HD_5000_Series [External Link]
Quoting: GustyGhostThanks (for suggestion) but no thanks, I'm currently very happy with my current desktop setup. Besides, my current cheapo GPU is better than both of my dream card (Radeon HD 2600 GT / GeForce 8600) so I'm fine with that.Quoting: tonRWell, as long Mesa not break I'm fine with that. Very curious how Mesa performance on Intel onboard graphic..The fastest cards from the HD 2000 series are going for like twenty dollars on ebay right now so you can easily fulfill that wish if you want.

When was the last time you used Wine to play a Windows game?
Me: Nearly 3 years. Mainly use Wine for apps that are not exist in Linux (very rarely).
Another example is Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS a.k.a former Soviet Union countries), while we know Russia culturally is European (even do 70++ % of its area is in Asia), some CIS countries consider them as one of countries in Europe even do geographically isn't.
Probably Liam should open thread to discuss this further.
Lastly, I'm against country-based statistic as certainly will causing HUGE infighting among us. Please do not open that can full of toxic worms.

Quoting: GuestI hope Liam would consider including how many GoL members there are in each continent.Agree. But before that, we (GoL readers) should define which are consider as the continents. For example, What I learned in school was the Americas continent is considered two continents, North and South which Panama/Colombia border is the seperator. But, some people consider the Americas as one continent.

Come on people... We talking about Bethesda or ZeniMax or whatever here people. Do not give any hope. Probably PS4, XB1 and Switch crossplay are more important to them than Linux.
For me this is one of many examples of contributing "middle finger" to free software. But don't worry, they can choose either:
- keep going war on piracy with dying Denuvo and CPU-killing anti tampering virtualization which piss everyone off and encourage more gamers to finding "unofficial" copies (a.k.a losing customers) or;
- embrace Linux gaming as new market that piracy is rare for many obvious reasons, willing to help contributing to solving bugs and problems and also successfully convert former pirate to support devs/studios (eg. Me).
No love lost.

p/s: Never had console. Only played on friend or relatives' console. Playstation (1,2,3) is only console I played in my entire life because well, it is and still popular in Asia.

Quoting: GuestOther than button layout it looks exactly like a Wii U pro controller, which is pretty much perfection.
Personally, I can't wait for that classic joystick!
This will be a day 1 purchase for me.
Quoting: Al3sIt's virtually a rebranded Xbox 360 gamepad. Ergonomics are fine.Well, I'm grew up in PS1 / PS2 era where anything than Dual Shock was look abnormal. Even my current gamepad is Chinese Knock-off [External Link] Dual shock controller. :D

Everything looks cool except for gamepad. Not so ergonomic IMO. Probably this is initial design.
BTW, I really hope the Atari VCS not become next StopDrop&Retro 's future content .

Maybe we should open special forum to report if we got Steam survey.
p/s: BTW very noob question. How to upload/post picture on GoL? Seriously I don't know how.
