AMD could be back in the CPU performance game with Zen

Quoting: Mountain ManIn terms of cost per performance, AMD has always been hard to beat.
I'll make my next build completely AMD-based if they can get their GPU situation sorted out. And I don't mean "I can play most games fine with their most expensive card at a lower framerate than NVIDIA GPUs from many generations earlier." I mean, get it at least close to on par with NVIDIA's quality and performance, support all the games, and I'm in.

Until then, I'll stick to Intel and NVIDIA.

Quoting: KeyrockI've been hearing "soon" for half a year now. Soon doesn't mean anything to me any more. Talk to me when it is actually released.

Rocket League due on SteamOS & Linux very soon [Updated]

I'm getting kinda sick of seeing posts everywhere about this damn game. It's been "coming soon" for months on end. And now it's been delayed AGAIN [External Link], making this news post entirely invalid. Awesome.

GOL has been updated, few new bits to be aware of

GitLab is excellent! I use them as well. Free private repos FTW!

Stay away from closed-source code where you have no control over things.
Control is one of the main reasons I avoided even trying to pick up an engine until Godot arrived on the scene. It sure simplifies things, rather than trying to make everything from scratch in C++, that's for sure.

I do hope Unity improves the situation, though. That, or games I care to play stop being made with it lest they run into these issues (Her Story comes instantly to mind).

Arma 3 Linux port to update to 1.54 tomorrow, there's more good news too

Great news, indeed. Hopefully it "graduates" to official sooner than later.

Want to make an RPG game? Looks like RPG Maker MV may be coming to Linux

I would never use it myself, (Godot Engine fan checking in!) but I think this is fantastic!

DiRT Rally also looks like it's coming to SteamOS & Linux

Quoting: RTherenSince the DiRT Showdown was ported by VP, my guess would be VP also here...
Showdown uses an older engine, though. Rally uses the same engine as GRID Autosport. I think there's more of an argument for Feral to port based on engine, rather than franchise name. But maybe this is wishful thinking.
