That's Techland's fault and shows they care very little about Linux support.

They care enough to release their game for Linux. That's more than many others. Why do you expect any developer treat us like Windows users when we are so few in number by comparison, and we have zero compassion or understanding, we just start bashing them and harassing them when issues come up? The amount of potential negativity any developer will face if there are issues far outweighs the only thing that truly matters, the only thing that puts food on their table and clothes on their backs - money.

I'm not saying Techland or any other developer shouldn't fix their problems. I'm just saying, we as a community seem to be a bunch of hostile ingrates that rant and rave as soon as any problem comes up. This is not the best approach. If you do this at a restaurant because the chef forgot the mushrooms on your steak, don't be shocked when you get a bite of the special sauce.

This is nothing new, and I don't care what the AMD diehard believers say. They've proven themselves over and over and over again; exactly what they're proving, I have not fully decided, but it's either disdain for Linux or complete ineptitude.

This is not a delay, as no release date for SteamOS was announced, this is the first time they have mentioned it. Rocket League is another story, and the delay there is a bit silly.

Well, it's not launching simultaneously with other platforms. In that regard, the release is delayed compared with the PS4 and Windows versions. My point is not to argue semantics, but that we keep getting everything days, weeks, months, or years after everyone else. A lot of times it is understandable, but when Valve is directly involved, it's more sad than anything.

I'm with you on that.

Except I am not that big of a fan of strategy in general, so $80CAD is a bit much to swallow for me. If it were a new NIER game? Absolutely! Fallout or Elder Scrolls? Sure. Dishonored 2? Maybe. But $80 really is a whole lot for a single game, no matter how I slice it. I understand why prices went up here, but it doesn't change my paycheck or my bills.

FERAL, FERAL, FERAL! These guys are just laying it on the table at the moment!

While it seems likely that they are the ones doing the port, it is not confirmed yet. The presence of their branch means nothing with regards to Linux - they did the Mac port.

VP ported a game to Linux that Aspyr has ported to Mac, so there is precedent for splitting porters between Mac and Linux.

But I do hope it is Feral. I like giving them money.

The desktop configuration was there for a long time already. I keep checking for the other two after every beta update, and no dice... "Coming soon" - uh huh, right. (Valve Time, I know, I know).

I freaking LOVED this game. Of note is that the same dev released a much more hardcore roguelike called Caves of Qud, so once you "graduate" from Sproggi you can jump into Qud and tear your hair out.
