Giants was AWESOME!
It does seem like Tim Schafer is quoted on a few too many Kickstarter campaigns, though.

Magicka 2 Looks Like It Will Have Lower Performance On AMD Cards

I want to buy an AMD card next time I upgrade, but they have a LOT more work to do on their Linux drivers. Trying to shift blame of poor performance to ALL of the game devs is pretty stupid. NVIDIA makes a better driver, closer to parity with Windows. AMD have struggled with Linux since the ATI days, and continue to do so. I hope it will change soon.

Quoting: SamsaiThis. It matters more now than ever.Quoting: neowiz73as I see it, it really all doesn't matter right now. buy whatever you want where ever because there's a lot of things up in the air about how the trends will go. but as it stands linux users only make up a small minority of users as-is and Feral and Aspyr understand how their money works when it comes to being a niche company. they are looking at the possible future of gaming as much as the rest of the development community. i'm sure in the coming years they will reap the rewards.I highly disagree here. We should ensure the devs get as much money back from their investments now (provided the ports are good enough, don't support bad products) because there is absolutely no telling how big the impact of Steam Machines will end up being. If Steam Machines end up not being all that successful for a year or two, these guys might end up reconsidering their porting efforts.
The coolest thing about many of these linux games is that they will be backwards compatible for a long time, and people years from now will continue to buy these games. Since there is no shipping and manufacturing costs involved, Steam is the premiere platform to publish games on for the long term money flow and ease of distribution.

The game is far from ready anyhow, but maybe he wouldn't need three part-time jobs to make ends meet if he were collecting sales from the other 99% of the market.

Finally! I bought this before there even was a Linux port, by accident... I just got their newsletter and didn't realize the Linux alpha wasn't yet available. I'd bought all their previous games dating back to Uplink on CD-ROM because of Linux support.
To their credit, my wait wasn't that long for a Linux version, but I avoided putting much time into it - was primarily waiting for a better machine to play on, and by the time I got that, I figured I'd best wait for 1.0. Now I've got no excuses, other than the hundreds of other games that are sitting there, mostly neglected. There are not enough hours in a day!

Quoting: burnallI hope this is the missing game in bundle.I wouldn't count on that... A brand-new, $15 Kickstarted game, essentially given away in a Humble Bundle? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Everyone who didn't buy this game is missing out. I found it was fantastic, and one of about a dozen that I've actually been compelled to finish (out of over 700 games in my library). Not only are you missing out, but so is Kyle, and we all will if he decides we're not worth the effort in the future.
I initially balked at purchasing it because it didn't LOOK like anything special, but it just goes to show that visuals aren't everything. If Gunmetal Arcadia (and the prequel) do release on Linux, I'll be snatching it up immediately. I've got faith in both brothers - NEON STRUCT is another of the few games which captivated me from start to finish.

Quoting: burnallI wonder if you could use your steam controller as a steering wheel, like Wii U does? Will steam machines or steam link feature that kind of thing?Well, the Steam Controller has the sensors to do it, so I assume the configuration tool will allow you to utilize it in whatever way you like. I can't freaking wait for this gamepad!
