Quoting: Segata SanshiroThat Dragon, Cancer is the kind of game which I would like to see more of. I think I'll back that :)It's a bloody disgrace it hasn't already exceeded its goal, especially when something like Thimbleweed Park is currently on track for almost a million.

Quoting: dubigrasuI wonder what exactly "leaving the Linux porting business" means. I see he is leaving for The Astronauts, and they're looking into Linux too.Indeed, hopefully they've poached him for Ethan Carter. Which would mean he didn't really leave the Linux porting business. I want that game...

Postal 2 No Longer Being Worked On By Icculus, RWS Taking It In-house

It's good that they took it in-house, but... Because Ryan's busy? Really? Maybe it's just me, but I think there's more to it than that.
Ryan seems to be quite anti-GamerGate, judging by his tweets.
RWS on the other hand, is very pro-GamerGate.
It's business and all, but I'd be hard-pressed to not at least consider this as being a huge factor. It is suspicious timing, if you ask me. Ryan has been busy since Loki disbanded...

I've been using Godot since January, and I'm more than happy with it. The code is very clean and organized well - even someone with very little C++ skills such as myself can hack little features onto it here and there.
And don't let the purple theme throw you off. I know some people don't like it. There's a new, neutral theme coming for the 1.0 stable release (which should be soon). Here's a comparison pic: http://icculus.org/~dolson/images/godot-themes.png [External Link]

I backed two out of the three. I hope Okam's game can somehow catch more traction; I'd love to see a Godot-made game hit Steam. Especially considering the prototype/demo is quite good (built using an old version of the engine, though).
EDIT: It's worth pointing out that the Linux demo for Dog Mendonca & Pizzaboy is actually included in the "Windows" download, as is a lot (all?) of the source files. I've opened them up in Godot, and while the project won't run as-is due to some changes in the engine, it is interesting to see and possible to learn from.

He overreacted, BIG TIME.
Valve under-reacted, if you ask me. Mike is lucky legal action wasn't taken against him.
A death threat is never funny and never appropriate, regardless of intent.
