X4: Foundations for Linux will not see a beta at release today, still coming though

I've wanted to get into the X series partially because Spaceships!, but also for Egosoft's excellent history of supporting Linux. I played a little bit of X Rebirth but didn't find myself engrossed. One ship should be enough to have a good time. I'll keep an eye on this, it will probably be ready before Star Citizen has a completely working client under wine. ;)

Wow, truly open source! I like the balancing elements. I may have to break my 'no-kickstarter' rule. I wonder if kickstarter prevents them from offering pre-sales on itch or steam during their fund raising period.

Sigma Theory is a new take on the espionage game genre from the creator of Out There

I've played about 6 hours of out there: Omega edition. It's a fun little game, 2D graphics, felt like a 'choose your own adventure' story with a heap of RNG. This one looks a little more advanced, I like the theme. On to the wishlist it goes.

Colony building sim RimWorld just had a huge 'Polish the Cannons' update

Rimworld is great! I think it is already a 1.0 release as far as quality, but hey, I'll take more development :) Very stable, tons of fun, I think I have about 40 hours in it so far.

Space RPG 'Star Traders: Frontiers' to leave Early Access next week

I enjoyed their android game enough to pick this one up. Honestly, I haven't had enough time to play it, but it feels very similar. Overall I'm happy, I just need to cut out some time to play it more!
