Quoting: GuestWhat a disaster. They didn't even consider using dxvk-native.
Oh, but they (kind of) did because they now use DXVK dll to translate d3d9 to vulkan in their Windows build...

The power of open source: running, through an open source compatibility layer, the proprietary operating system's version of a proprietary game using an engine built partially around open source libraries (and that uses part of said compatibility layer), even though we have functional builds of said libraries on the target platform (which is THE open source flagship). Oh, the irony... but Xzibit would be proud . And dxvk-native is still a thing (upstreamed).

I bought this game a year ago and it was already open source from what I remember (seems like it happened in September 2022). It's always nice to see, even more when the engine itself is open source

World of Goo 2 launches in May on the Epic Store - but Linux support from their website

I refuse to buy anything on this joke of a store as long as Epic continue their BS... I will buy the game DRM-free on 2DBoy website like it's 2009 (I give them a pass for the exclusivity deal considering their size and the continued support for Linux and DRM-free ), and probably Steam/GOG/Itch/Humble later on...

Edit: Ohhh... and please, no EOS integration, thank you XD

It has a Native Linux version but it's not advertised and seems to work just fine.
Pretty strange and annoying considering both DLCs are marked as Linux supported :/

Even the Ocean from Analgesic Productions has a source code release

Hmmm... Not too fond of this license. Open the code under a FOSS license, keep the assets close/proprietary, if you don't want someone to resell the game as is. Best of both world...
