If you're into PS1 style horror and don't mind a bit of fiddling with Wine, then do also take a look at the compilation "disc" Haunted PS1 Demo Disc 2020 [External Link] (it's just a normal compilation/bundle styled around a demo disc).

Quoting: scaineIf this is even vaguely "Reassembly in 3D" then not only am I buying it, I'm buying it for my whole family and we're playing it to death. You could say that it vaguely is, though the mood of the game is more akin to something like Elite.
I'm not saying I have high hopes. But I'm stupidly optimistic...

Albion actually came far enough in development on the Amiga that a demo [External Link] was released [External Link] but unfortunately, with the dwindling Amiga market at the time, the decision was made to drop Amiga support and focus on IBM PCs instead.

Quoting: kaimanThere was also Amberstar, the precursor to Ambermoon - so in my head, that counts as a trilogy that needs to be completed on its original platform ;)Quoting: GuestIt was never released for the Amiga, but it could be counted as a spiritual successor to a little gem called Ambermoon, which was. [...]Quoting: CybolicNow we just need a port of it back to the Amiga where it originally started development :D[...] I din't know it was originally for the Amiga!

There's also this version based on the original binary, ported using static recompilation: http://repo.openpandora.org/?page=detail&app=albion_sr&dp=true [External Link]
I have no idea how well (if at all) it runs on a standard Linux system as it was developed with handheld Linux gaming systems in mind (Pyra/Pandora), but it's certainly interesting!

I've been having a daily routine of refreshing the store pages for the Vampire V2 for a while now (managed to put one in the shop's basket at one point, but it was already sold by the time I clicked "purchase"). For now, I've had to settle for an iRIX Labs Classic 520.
Any tips for snatching a V2?

Heard about Commodore enthusiasts , did not know Amiga had a community as well.
I actually like the x1000 but i don't have a spare organ to sell to buy one of those.
Also, dpaint's source went open! https://github.com/historicalsource/DeluxePaint [External Link]

Quoting: 95ych0I've never played any of Half Life. I hear such acclaim about it. Can I get into the series by playing Black Mesa without playing the original?I'd say that if you only go into it for the story, then yes. If you want to see what the fuzz is all about, then no; the original Half Life still has areas that function better in its shooter mechanics.

Quoting: MaathI'm really curious what UI they're using. I wasn't aware that game engines would make UI design easy (well easier than a dedicated UI toolkit). It looks like they're using the built-in widget functionality of Godot with a bit of basic scripting for the custom widgets. Godot generally has a really good GUI system - the Godot editor itself is built with it.
