Aspyr's Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remaster Is Real And It's Out, We Have Keys For You [Key hunt is over]

The french film 'Ils' (them) is one of my favourite thrillers. If you haven't seen it you should.

I try and steer clear of scary games because I can't handle them but probably my scariest moment in gaming was walking up to a mother and baby in the first Bioshock View video on youtube.com . It freaked me out enough to put the game down and leave it for a few weeks. I could only handle that game if i was playing on easiest settings.

Outlast, That Really Scary Game Looks Like It's Still Heading To Linux
28 Jan 2015 at 8:01 pm UTC

Quoting: OZSeafordI just can't buy that game.

I am a grown man, and I refuse to be reduced to a sniveling heap of frayed nerves cowering in a corner of the room.
But the corner is where they hide. Better to stand in the middle of the room right under the light. Nothing can get you there (tried and tested).

Darksiders Linux Port Looks Like It Is Still Happening
28 Jan 2015 at 5:38 pm UTC

Quoting: HadBabitsI don't think I enjoyed it much on console, but if the port's good I'd love to give it another shot. But while we're talking about games that are still coming... [External Link] ;)
I am definitely too much of a coward to be playing Outlast. Even the trailer is enough to scare me.

Linux Kernel Bug Being Fixed Thanks To Linus Torvalds & The Witcher 2
26 Jan 2015 at 10:08 pm UTC

The game plays really well now as far as I can see (the opt-in beta anyway). I installed it when it came out and couldn't face playing it due to the terrible fps on lowest settings.
I've just been playing it for 3 hours straight with decent fps on highest settings (minus motion blur, because I never understood the point). That's on a fairly average system too, GTX 660, an ageing AMD 4300 and 8gb of valueram.

I have no doubt that it runs better on windows but for a dodgy port it functions quite well now.

Dying Light Is Now Confirmed For Linux, Bring It On Techland
24 Jan 2015 at 8:17 pm UTC

Quoting: berillionsI have a I5-3230M + GTX 670MX, do you think that i can play at this game with minimal options before to buy my new laptop (I7 + 970MX)

I don't know which is the desktop card equivalent at my mobile card GTX 670MX
Wouldn't the GTX 670MX just be the equivalent of a desktop 670?
Anyway, I would hope that your laptop is good enough because otherwise I might need to consider upgrading.

Dying Light From Techland Has A Little Hint About Linux Support

Quoting: N30NOh wow! It's now available to pre-purchase for Linux! [External Link]
I just noticed that myself and came here to post it. £40 for a game is a bit steep for me though.

Played dragonfall over Christmas and it was great. If this is more of the same then it will be worth it.

Egosoft's X Rebirth Actively Being Ported To Linux
13 Jan 2015 at 2:11 pm UTC

I've sunk a lot of hours into the previous X games so will almost definitely be getting this when it ports.
It's unlikely to be my go-to space aim though, with what is coming up. I have both fingers crossed for elite dangerous coming to Linux at some point, or at least being wine friendly, as I invested in the kickstarter.

Enigma-Dev A Linux Game Engine, Compatible With GameMaker Scripting

Quoting: SpeedsterHow many of the engines listed as having native editor support on the wiki have you had a chance to check out yet?
Well none, as it turns out. I didn't even realise there was a wiki page for that. Should've looked I guess.
Is there any you might recommend?

Enigma-Dev A Linux Game Engine, Compatible With GameMaker Scripting

Interesting, I've been looking for a game engine to play around with and have been pretty shocked at how few run natively on gnu/linux. I'll be checking this out.
