Quoting: wvstolzingYeah. It's a shame.Quoting: ImnotarobotI wish that devs that do old school games would make sure that it works with old school hardware. Kind of feels dumb to have crappy graphics if there is no use for crappy graphics. The polygon count may be lower, but that's only one part of the equation; newer retro-inspired games make use of physics, # of interacting objects, lighting, etc., that require relatively powerful contemporary systems -- and are way beyond the capabilities of retro machines.

Damn. Does not work with my 4500mhd laptop. :( Not really old school if it does not work with old hardware. Have to just play with my desktop then. At least Ion Maiden works with it. :)

Maybe it's better that i don't write a review in Steam. :D
I bet it's a good game though.

The coolest thing to see would be something like Throttlestop. Now that would allow so much tweaking possibilities for cpu's.

Why even allow anymore wrapped games to have Linux stamp with them? At least on Steam either do a native version or just leave it for Proton. Im not so technical so im not so sure about the wrapping thing, but i think it's like WINE or something like that?
Just my common sense tells me that it's stupid.

The Atari VCS team put out a post to talk about the Linux OS along with an open source project teaser

To me it seems dumb.
I really don't get the need to protect the internal storage? Rather just make a warranty void if OS swapped. Make a physical fuse to pop if OS changed and make it not affect the machine, just make it to see if the internal storage has been tampered. Simple as that. USB for OS is not a good idea.
I really don't expect anything from this device, but maybe for the right price it could be a decent product? I truly doubt it though.
E: Saw the price. Yeah... Not worth it.

Quoting: TobiSGDDepends on the USB. USB is not really designed to be running OS. It usually works quite bad from my experience.Quoting: kuhpunktLike if you try to use SteamOS and it would have to get all the game data through USB, that's not great. If it is USB 3 that shouldn't be a problem.

Well. I hope that people get their money back. If not then they can only blame themselves as you should never put your money in advance to something that is not finished. If the people don't get their money back, then i can always remember to not buy anything from Snapshot Games.

It works for me after fiddling. I just think it's ridiculous to have a wine game in the store and advertise that as Linux. It's bullshit and think that it only gives Nightdive worse reputation. Kind of a dumb move from them from the beginning if you ask me.
Popular retro-inspired FPS DUSK still coming to Linux, due sometime next year
