Powerful Linux video editor Kdenlive gets a huge new release

In general I like a lot of the KDE projects but I've stopped using them being tired that they bloat my system with installing along them like 2/3 of KDE for no reason.

Is this still the case or have they finally made some of their software standalone?

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive gets fancy new skins, networking improvements

Quoting: GuestNice skins, but can you aim-down your iron sights yet, or is it all still hip-shooting only except for the scoped weapons?

All snarky CS trolling aside, I had fun with the original CS 1.6 and CS:Source back in the day, but the novelty eventually wore off for me. Played around 15 or so hours of CS:GO but it felt like more of the same, but more toxic somehow.

I don't really think rainbow guns will change that for me. But again, that's just me.
Personally I stopped playing CS:Go soon after the update that added the weapon skin in 2013. I couldn't bare any more the toxicity of the community. That is what happen when you remove the power of weeding out the bad apples from the community and give it to a faceless company.

Since then, I returned from time to time to 1.6 and source. And it felt good not even from the nostalgia but because the games are still very playable and because of the community having the ban power the servers are refreshingly calm and friendly for the great majority of them.

I tried to play Go again a couple month ago and it didn't felt like a CS any more, it just reminded of some bad CoD rip off. A lot of things didn't felt right.

I really love that gale. It's a pleasure to see it constantly evolve.

The only thing important to me it lacks for me is a voiced tutorial/campaign with a clear objective system.

Valve adds a 'Play Next' shelf in Steam to remind you of all those games you've never played

Quoting: DerpFoxFreshly added to the client, already removed from it. I wish I could do the same with the news one.

I really have difficulties with the new design. Some part of it are brilliant, some others are questionable. For me The client is all empty and grey as I removed all the "shelves" that I don't care for. I'd love to have some sort of landing page with all my installed games a bit like in GOG Galaxy 2.
If you just remove all shelves except All Games, then hit the button to only display those ready to play, does that not do exactly what you're asking for?
Oh that exist? As I don't follow the news of the new design that must I stay as it was when it was launched. A bit empty of customizations in general. Now it looks a bit more full. Thank you.

Now the only problem I see but it's not really of importance is that "only display installed games" button is managed in the same place. It would be nicer to have them separated. I'll search if there is a suggestion thread on the steam forum.

Thank you again. The new steam design is not really oblivious on these option if you didn't tell me I would have never know.

As Cities: Skylines comes up to the five year mark, it's on a big sale
7 Mar 2020 at 10:56 pm UTC

I love Cities Skyline but it have a lot of stability problems (on most platforms) it is well know within it community that save game can get corrupted at any moment and that the game cam sometime be very heavy on the system, on linux on my computer it often canibalize all the 32gig of ram and I don't know why.

But I still love that game an play it way too much for my own good.

Psyonix are removing randomized loot boxes from Rocket League

Quoting: DerpFoxIf its a shop item I will give them a second chance.

I uninstalled the game when they introduced them and never played since I couldn't accept playing a game with predatory monetisation.
I dislike loot boxes too, but Rocket League at least had an option in the menu to hide them, not that I've tried it though to see how well it works.
I knew about that but I still think loot boxes have no place in games. I can understand a cosmetic shop à la GW2 to keep a service going. Plus at the time I had baught the game and every single one of its DLC to support the Psyonix at full price. That was the killing blow in my trust of Psyonix for me. Why would I support a greedy studio, they already had one of the best selling games and its DLC but they wanted more to pay for an e-sport scene that never grew up anyway.

Sorry, it's not their fault when you interpret more into an answer than there is. If they'd planned/wanted to announce, that it comes to Linux, then they'd say it comes (later) to Linux
I'm not interpreting anything, in french their sentence have clear sense and its not subject to interpretation. I just say there is a problem in their communication nothing else. I've asked for clarification but I doubt I'll have an answer.
