The huge Project Zomboid build 42 finally gets multiplayer just in time for the holidays
12 Dec 2025 at 2:49 pm UTC

Quoting: Cley_FayeI didn't keep up with project zomboid for, like, ten years, but I'm a bit confused by the title. I thought the game already had multiplayer.
The beta of the next update had multiplayer temporarily disabled. The non beta build was playable in mp the whole time.

Quoting: yndoendoWant a fold-able laptop. I would most likely bit the bullet and pay the Windows tax for Asus Zenbook 14 Flip OLED with AMD Ryzen APU [External Link].

Still hope non-Windows OEM comes out with a decent AMD fold-able. Intel is in my do not buy category when they pushed out 13 & 14 GEN CPU they knew where bad just to go to market with a product. They are the Boeing of the computing industry. If it's Intel I ain't buying.
If you're in the EU, you should be able to get a refund for that Windows tax, if they don't directly offer it without an OS.
no, if you complain they will most likely just offer to take the whole device back

Quoting: sergeThe point of NFT is that you can sell it to someone else, when you do not want to play anymore, or when you gain a better one.
Which can be completly implemented without NFTs if the game publisher wants, and can be completly blocked by the publisher if he wants even when using NFTs.

So where is the necessity for NFTs again?
Sure, but that's limited to one store/platform. You can't leave the store with that item and you can only find a buyer in that same store. If you put that in real world context, you wouldn't consider that owning something. Buying non-NFT digital items is illusion of owning these items.

NFTs enable securely buy/sell your items on secondary markets without an intermediate, the blockchain is just a permissionless distributed database. Steam is against this because they don't want the items traded on secondary markets, they want you be vendor-locked to their platform.
A nft of a in game item can still be accpunt bpund or be banned if the publisher of the game decides so. on the other hand he can allow for it to be transfered between accpints without charges when he decides so. where is the neccesity for nfts in this case?

Fortnite on Linux / Steam Deck? Not until 'tens of millions of users'
14 Dec 2023 at 10:43 am UTC

Quoting: bisbyxDid everyone see the new Rocket League racing mode? And by that, I mean the new racing mini-game inside Fortnite. Fortnite is no longer a game, and is now a gaming ecosystem of its own.
The exclusivity they buy with Fortnite money for EGS is not to benefit the gamers, but to "benefit" the devs (if your game reaches less people, but you get paid anyway, do you care?) and to draw customers in themselves. Tim constantly says it's better for the gamers, but it's not. So at this point I just assume anything Tim says is about a "better experience" and assume it means "will make us money."
FortniteDeck when?
