Quoting: SzkodnixI am not sure who is a bigger clown of the gaming world: is it Todd Howard or Tim Sweeney...
Have you ever seen Todd Howard and Tim Sweeney on the same stage?
Could it be that they are the same reptiloide wearing different human costumes?
Just asking questions!

So... the Minecraft clone engine that started as the Minecraft clone game and is clearly designed to do Minecraft-type games is trying to distance themselves from Minecraft clones by not including the Minecraft clone game that gave the Minetest name widespread recognition. Not sure I even realized the Minecraft clone game was separate from Minetest in this way.

I wonder if some shady M$ lawyers were sniffing around here.

Don't confuse Minetest (The engine and launcher) with Minetest Game (A minimalistic sample game implemented in that engine which is little more then just creative mode without unlimited resources), with MineClone2 a Mincraft Clone implemented in the Minetest engine.

Quoting: McCartheeSuch a Linux focused laptop and company having hardware in their product that doesn't even work on Linux is quite frankly pathetic.
Well it could just be cheaper to use a touchpad with a fingerprint reader integrated then have a custom one produced just to have a thing removed (touchpads are of the shelf parts too). And dual boot folks might use it on the Windows side.

Ubuntu 23.10 download got pulled down due to a malicious translation

Reading it was in the ukrainian translation I expected some light hearted dehumanisation like https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/04/using-a-steam-deck-to-control-a-ukrainian-automatic-turret-now-ive-seen-it-all/comment_id=242754 but it actually isn't.

It's "generic" Gay and Jew/Israel hate.

And with generic I don't want to downplay, I use it here in the sense that it's not referencing any current event.

Linux updates tease Valve 'Galileo' and 'Sephiroth' - Steam Deck refresh? Or new VR?

Those DMI_MATCH macros check for DMI strings which can also be read from userspace with ´cat /sys/class/dmi/id/product_name´, ´cat /sys/class/dmi/id/product_family´ etc.

For SteamDeck product_family is Aerith and product_name is Jupiter, so for me this patch means Steamdeck 2 confirmed! Codename Galileo with a new SoC called Sephiroth! Now the only question: What is the timeline and where are we currently on it? xD

The open source NVIDIA NVK driver is coming along well

noveau supports manual reclocking on the 660 (writing some sysfs stuff)

still slower then propriatary driver 470 (officially driver 390 is the last one supporting the 660 but driver 470 still works, nothing newer thought)

Time running out to swap your Minecraft account over to Microsoft

Correction: You already can't play without a MS account. What they a threatining now is that they will delete all unconverted accounts with no option to convert at a later date. So convert or buy again!

Still convinced this is illegal, but ms doesn't care about illegal -.-

Is this for real? You do know that this is designed to kill people, not in a cs-fashion but for real. And all with the currently f'ed up narrative and politics, you are cracking jokes with it.

I can not believe this, what a shame.
Are you suggesting we treat the Russian invading army of genocidal psychopaths with respect?
They're perfectly ordinary people, just like the American armies that invaded Iraq and Afghanistan and are still occupying part of Syria are made up of perfectly ordinary people.
I really think there should be a line drawn between saying "Russian foreign policy is fucked up" and being racist about Russians.
This, a Russian Soldier is still a Human and not an Orc, regardless of how unjust the war is he is fighting in.
