What do you mean? Do you get asked for it at the account creation or you are asked after the account was locked? From me they only asked for an email address, a password and a gamertag. Nothing else! There is no name, address or phone number in my profile.

I migrated one of my few minecraft accounts :wink: as a test balloon and as expected they locked it after two days! Why? They don't tell. Meanwhile I feel mobbed and discriminated (guessing playing on Linux is maybe the reason for this) by Microsoft. They are not helping at all! Just keep dodging!

On top of it they wont accept my phone number but also wont tell me the reason for it. If I enter my number into their form then I only get the error: We can not send a text message to this number. WHAT THE HELL?!?! Everyone else can send me a text message, only Microsoft can not? Wow! So professional! So Microsoft! *facepalm*

You can turn them off when creating new world! Both temporal storms and temporal stablity :dizzy: This game is one of the most customizable games ever.

OK, if you can do that meanwhile then I might give it another try. Last time I played it there was no option to turn it off and the storm was raging for hours! Which made the game unplayable. Thx.

From this incompetent developers?!?!? I wouldn't count on it. This game is not optimized, is a bug fest and a GUI desaster. Building needs a lot to improve. For example look at Conan Exiles or Rust! Way better building system. Why is there a text wall over the creatures head??!? The Option Menu is also a nightmare. Not to mention the character editor. Haven't played a while now, but this was so broken! What Rust has to less this game has way to much.

Another joke. Why the hell does "PixArk" need ~30GB? What for? It's like Minecraft. Only in bad!

In short: Wouldn't count on it! They ignored Linux for many years and with proton it seems to work a lot better then native. without any effort.

I couldn't care less. Epic "Fail" Games is the worst Company ever. A few weeks ago they got me to create an account with a free "Borderlands 3" and before I could download the game they locked account . Without any information what I did wrong?!?! The only information I got was: Can not be reactivated! What the hell?!?! 🤬

Well, they can keep their 💩💩💩 and rot in hell!!!

I'm really surprised about that support for EPIC. IMHO the worst Store which is currently out there. Not Customer friendly, non existing support, doesn't care about Linux. Epic Fail is even snatching Games which where available for Linux on Steam. They drop the support for Linux and making them exclusive. I wouldn't spent money on that store, as they even more ridiculous with their accounts then Microsoft.

My experience with Minecraft Dungeons. As I bought it the status for Steamdeck was "Verified", but now it's back to "Playable".

But it has issues:
- Introvideo is not playing on Linux/Proton
- Graphical Glitches
- Game crashes in Multiplayer
- Gamepad (XBox 360:huh:) isn't working well
- Microsoft Account required

On top of it the Support of Microsoft sucks. At first the locking your account. Without giving you a reason. Nothing! If you open a ticket with an locked account, which isn't easy, because the Account is locked *faceplam* Then they are starting pointing fingers between Microsoft Divisions, who is responsible for this, but not solving the problem! :angry::angry::angry:

Was it for playing on Linux/Proton? No idea!

They are just talking about some "unusual" behavior, but don't telling what it was.

In Short: Don't buy from Microsoft/Mojang/XBox Game Studios!:sick:

Thanks for your article, but I have to disagree. Linux has several techniques to prevent your scenarios. for example "signed kernel modules", Secure Boot. GPL isn't a problem. Has anyone sued NVidia yet for their way?

We are talking here about Windows-Games are running with Wine/Proton on Linux. This is the problem. If Cheaters want they can use this combo already!!!

IMHO The real reason is that Tim Sweeney is not interested in supporting Valve and Linux, and throws a FUD smoke grenade, with lots of excuses why he can't support EAC on Linux Proton. Also there is a new version of EAC on the way. This new version EOS will require an Epic account even if you haven't bought the game from Epic!

In short: Tim Sweeney is a lying hypocrite!

BTW: What about the other Anti-Cheat-Tools which announce to support Linux and Wine/Proton-Environment?
