That sounds more like a bug than anything else. In my 60+ (?) hours of playing the game, the longest one I had was of the strongest category and took about half a day at max. I'd say they usually last only a few hours (in-game).

From the wiki [External Link] itself:

The duration of temporal storms will increase in time, by default it can last between 2.4h and 4.8h maximum. The differentiation between light, medium or heavy temporal storms does not influence the duration, but rather the feeling of the storm, meaning specifically the visual and audio aspects of this mechanic.

If a multi-day one happened to you, you were either playing on a server with messed up settings or as I said, a bug.
Both of which would suck, of course.

It took hours in real time! No server involved! Single Player.
Reported the issue to the forum and Developer. The reaction was: SHUT UP! This is how it is meant to be.

But what I found out later is that you can turn it off on a server. So why not in single player? Anyhow the game is ruined for me.

The storms last for a fixed time, which is 8 or 10 minutes I think.

LOL! 8-10 Minutes would be fine! Mine lasted for hours and didn't get way and I was moving far distances. As far I could get wihout being killed!

I don't care about that story if it isn't fully implemented. These storms are just annoying and don't add anything for me to the game. In the contrary these storms killed the game for me.

Nevertheless this will fail! IMHO they should sell there hardware also without OS but add a label "Linux supported"

Fun Fact: My Steammachine from Zotac was 100 bucks cheaper then the identical build without Steam-Case but with Windows on it.

BTW: I have an HM80 from Miniforums which is shutting down the rear USB-Ports after a while.
Not sure if that is fixed! Doesn't happen with Windows. :sad:

Well, doesn't surprise me. Humble Bundle has become just a name. Nothing Humble there anymore. I'm not buying a lot there anymore. For what they are taking a 30% cut per Bundle? It was great before it has been sold, but now ... R.I.P.

Nothing against realism, other games have a lot more then vintage story. But some mechanics are just there to slow you down (crafting) or broken(temporal storm), and have nothing to do with realism.

Couldn't care less! Just checked the Bundles. Only 5% for Charity left, and Humble Bundle takes a cut of 30-40%. Uhm..Not gonna happen! Not supporting incompetence and lousy support! The Offers in the store are not much better then e.g. on Steam if the games are on Sale. Don't get me started on Choice! The main reason why I bought games/bundles from HB is gone! R.I.P.

No that is not holding Linux back. I know a large company which runs +50k Linux Desktops :tongue:, and a few others with +10k Linux Desktops. Not to mention that most of them are running with Ubuntu or a flavour of it!

The "real" problem, which is holding Linux back on Desktops, is that new computers are bundled with Windows in the Stores!

Erm.. you know that this game has his roots in Minecraft, right? It was released as a Minecraft-Mod before it became a standalone game. Also you can find a lot of the mechanics still in Minecraft Mods.

BTW: Is this "Time Stability" crap still in the game? What is it? What is this Rust World and why does it affect my world? What does this creatures called Drifters want? In the Wiki to the game you find almost no information about it. IMHO a feature which hasn't been properly thought through and poorly explained is just annoying. Without it the game would be much more fun.

Well, I don't! I had one month left! I paused it for the last few months and now Humble Bundle is playing the "no you don't card". I had all my perks (20% off, access to the trove) in every last month before I paused it. But the month ist gone now. The Humble Ninjas give a shit about it and instead of investigating the situation and have a look in their systems, they just throw you the "no you don't". So I canceled the subscription once and for all! :angry:
