seriously, Killer Instinct was good from what i heard, but it was not developed by rare, they purchased an studio and outsource the development of on of its ips, because they couldnt manage it thenselves.

Rarereplay is a good deal, but its just an reminder of what types of games rare will not produce anymore, what is the point of paying gor an game if you know the company wont produce more of the same ? making stake holders happy?
the whole purpose of paying for something instead of pirating it is to make sure the company will make more products like those.

the only thing microsoft seems to be good at is using the IP name as an free marketing for something, selling due to the branding instead of content.

sea of thieves may prove me wrong, proving that Rare is still capable of doing new ideas instead of relying on the brands from the past.
but i doubt they wouldnt be doing even more if they were still indies or nintendo partners.

hell, when doublefine was talking about the new psychonauts, they said that they were able to improve the game thanks to the microsoft funding, guess what improvment was quoted? graphics.

sigh, seriously if he said: "we have many new gameplay mechanics that were too troublemsome to implement, test, polish to make sure they are fun to play, but thanks to microsoft we were able to do it!" then i would be excited.
but no, microsoft creativity can be sumed up as: pretty graphics.

But Activition wants to cash out before the value of there company becomes worthless, and the government want to stop them from selling to them.

Imagine having a fast food restaurant and can only sell to selected people to keep competition fair LOL.

It's dx12 so it uses vkd3d on an i3 4th gen once all the skills were used the stutters stopped so I guess it have to cache all the skills before playing smooth, and it played smoothly on rx 560 i3 4th gen and mesa 23.1.0r3.

Just going through comments esp on Reddit, it's amazing how many people are completely convinced that if the deal goes through, Acti would be cleaned out, all the favorite old IPs revived and all games given top love and attention, and totally have WoW and Diablo on gamepass/Steam.

Basically, so many people seem to have this weird dreaming mindset of, Acti sucks, so if they get bought out, the megacorp will magically do everything I'd like and nothing bad!. Not that I like Acti or its current state, but I've never seen people fight so hard for consolidation as this.

i dont think microsoft cant be worst that Activision, at least there would be hope on games like World of Warcraft, that Activision keeps destroying, i wanted to some Hope for Blizzard Games.

This deal is for $69 billion. The largest acquisition there's ever been in the games industry was Take Two buying Zynga for $12.7 billion. No other games company could afford to buy ABK. Only a tech platforms company like Microsoft, Google or Apple.

And activision blizzard isnt even worth that much anymore, they are selling because World of Warcraft, and COD is slowly dying, and Activision knows this, thats why they waant the cash out now.

Everyone saying microsoft if a Terrible company, just remember what Micheal Jackson said about sony, they both are bad.

This is not about which company is good or bad, this is about a merger having the potential to create a monopoly or a near monopoly in the market. So it also have zero to do with the amount of studios being bought (still MS have bought up more studios then Sony), instead it have to do with the huge size of Activision Blizzard, that is the single thing that activated FTC and why they are trying to block it. It's the size, nothing more.

No its not the size of Activision blizzard they are fighting about, its about the Call of duty Franchise, they dont care about the Blizzard games, its all about COD, cause if microsoft leaves says they dont want COD Sony wont have a problem with the acquirement.
