Quoting: TheBardThen it's as confirmed and "coming" as Street Fighter V.... except Capcom eventually spoke up and said that they didn't ditch the port, it is just reaaaaaally low in the priority list of their always-in-development game.... which is more than CDPR ever did with GOG.Quoting: ZeloxThey have answered this; That's exactly what i say when i don't want to do something ;) Two years to port a simple think like Galaxy? They already distribute Linux builds, so the only non trivial part of porting Galaxy is networking. Few months would be understandbale, but more than 2 years and still no ETA?

There is no ETA, but its planned and worked on atm.
I would like some more feed back from the devs tho, dont like the silence, only makes me confused.
But thats the latest news we got from it, atleast what I know of.
They don't care about porting Galaxy, that's the only rational thinking. But they know that cancelling it would result in a backslash. I'm sure they prefer keeping us waiting for something that may never than creating a massive wave of complaigns. To be honest, i find it insulting. This is extremely rude. They should be honest with their custumers (us).

The fact that Linux can keep itself around the 1% mark all the time despite all the growing going on at Steam shows that the number of people on Linux there is growing more or less in the same pace. Remember when we were ≃1% of 10 million? Well, now we are ≃1% of 14 million! But still "the market is too small", amirite....?

I don't want to mix articles, but it got really funny to read that on reddit now....
I remember VP improved the port quickly and it works well now.No it does not work well now. It crashes from time to time which is really frustrating. I'm using Arch.

Quoting: EnverexThere is showing your discontent and interest in seeing the product being fixed, and then there is acting like a child with insults and personal attacks.I hope this makes a few people reconsider their attitude when talking to developer about the performance of ports.Really? When people pay for something, they expect it to work (and work well). People aren't going to be thankful for a bad product. This isn't people spitting in the face of free content, this was a commercial product.

This in particular is something I’m keen for developers to know about. Please, for the love of my sanity, don’t put a plain folder of “Game Name” inside my home directory. If you want to know where to store config files and saved games, you can find more info here. You're a hero, Liam....

Friendly and well needed reminder that this theory is what Jaycee thinks, he never tried to say it as a fact or anything near official, it's just his guess on the matter....

Bottom line is those people going apes on developers need to be better politicians, need to know better how to deal with situations for their and our own good, if you want something you don't name call and threat people until you get what you want, that is not how the world works, and these are all stuff your parents should have taught you years ago....

Quoting: EikeThis is no different from Windows guys saying the devs should be doing whatever else on the game instead of porting....Quoting: MetallinatusSo are those people who complain that we are getting one more game in this site a new breed of the troll that goes to our Steam posts just to say "-1" or stuff alike? You could see it the way Feral should use their time on something I as commenter want to play.
(I don't see it that way, enough to play for now and mid-range future and mainly caring for Feral doing well commercially.)

On a side note.... I like that you started the gaming segment of Linux Voice with 0 A.D. and The Battle For Wesnoth!
Quoting: eloThey are also 100% separate sites, so they are not one and the same :), so it's not an essential feature.Well, they are a family of sites now, and those usually share the same account, like the Mobile Nations sites. I hardly ever log in nowadays, but it would be nice to have the same account. But it's even better that it is not being half-baked!
