Quoting: PatolaDoes VKD3D have raytracing for RTX GPUs?Nope, not currently. Technically it would possible to implement it since Vulkan supports the necessary extensions, but it's not a priority for vkd3d devs at the moment.

Thanks Feral <3 That was long wait but from early benchmark results, looks like it was worth it. Definitely gonna buy this one on your store.
NVIDIA have released a new Vulkan Beta Driver 435.27.02

To install the beta driver on Arch, you can use the "nvidia-vulkan" packages in AUR. They can work for Manjaro too, but might conflict with MHWD (not 100% sure about that). In any case, you need to grab the DKMS version to make sure the module is installed for the Manjaro kernel.
I don't know about other distros, there might be a PPA for Ubuntu somewhere.

Quoting: chui2chIs there a good guide somewhere on installing the NVIDIA driver using the run file?
Quoting: TheRiddickI'm not sure if manually installing the driver is safe on Pop_OS eitherUnless you really know what you are doing, avoid installing Nvidia drivers with the .run file. It conflicts with the package manager and be a source of headaches down the line. It's provided by Nvidia more as a source for distro maintainers.

Manjaro Linux 18.1.0 'Juhraya' has been officially released

I wrote optimus-manager [External Link] in an attempt to provide better support for Optimus machines in Arch-based distros such as Manjaro, but it's still a hacky solution.
* (I said "until recently", because Manjaro has just added support for the new Prime offloading method. I'm not sure how they handle it and how it cohabits with their bumblebee+bbswitch method, it's something I need to test.)

Quoting: NanobangCorrect, until recently* Manjaro had only limited support for Optimus. They only offered the bumblebee+bbswitch method, which is really not enough in this day and age. Worse, that method can make the distro impossible to install on some machines because it causes ACPI lockups. That's another reason why I really don't want to recommend Manjaro for gaming. If you have an Optimus laptop, prefer Ubuntu or PopOS.Quoting: 14Interesting. So something about an Optimus setup confounds Manjaro? Maybe they'll integrate Nvidia's Optimus GPU switcher and somehow use it to present a better GPU selection for the Optimus-burdened user.Quoting: NanobangAs I reinstalled Ubuntu Mate, I wondered why, if Manjaro could determine that I had an Optimus setup, would the DE offer me an option that would bork my OS? Rather than get an answer, I decided I wasn't ready for the thing. In my experience, when you install Manjaro into a VM, it will install every Nvidia driver! Of course the VM is not using real GPU acceleration and those drivers are useless in the VM. I don't think removing the drivers was an option, either, because it was a dependency of the hardware detection tool, which was a dependency of the Manjaro Core suite.

Have they fixed their hardware drivers tool yet ? That thing is full of broken scripts that will nuke your X server at best and (almost) irremediably f**k your package tree at worst (I'm looking at you, catalyst).
Don't get me wrong, there is a lot I like about Manjaro, but I'm really tired of seeing so many newcomers breaking their system because they selected the wrong option in that minefield. It's consolidating the reputation that "GPU drivers are unstable on Linux", especially since Manjaro is often recommended to newbies and they have no idea how to recover from a broken state.

I'm still sinking hours and hours into Dead Cells. Still stuck at Boss Cell 1 though...I don't know how I could ever reach BC5.
But even if the game keeps rubbing in my face how bad I am at it, it's just so damn fun and addictive. I really have to commend Motion Twin for their work, Dead Cell is absolutely the gold standard of all the roguelites I've played (but I haven't tried Hades yet).
Plus the game has excellent Linux support :) I've heard some people have controller issues with it (which can be fixed by switching to Proton), but native works just fine with my DS4 and F310 gamepads.
